OV smiled, leaning forward in her seat. She loved this movie. Most of her favorite characters died, yes, but it was a very good movie. Despite the plot holes.... Whatever. OV took a sip of her pop, watching the opening scene where a ragdoll was seen being built. As a few minutes passed into the movie the ragdoll, 9, had woken up, found a mysterious talisman, and left the battered building in which he had been born, and ran out into the dead, decaying, and giant outside world. It came to a suspenseful moment, 9 had been discovered by some unknown entity, a light had cast upon him and in a panic he quickly hid behind some debri. The scene was mostly quiet, the wind blowing, the crunching of footsteps as it approached 9's hiding spot. In his fear he had taken up a piece of debri and as soon as the unknown was just upon his hiding spot, he swung it.

The thing that had stumbled upon 9 was another like him. Old and battered, but steady. Seeing that they were like him he quickly helped the other up. A '2' was written on his back. Despite having just been knocked down by the other, 2 was overjoyed to see him and welcomed him warmly. Finding that 9 could not speak the two went off in search of a way to remedy this. After a little technical ingenuity by 2, 9 had his voice. But while 2 was fixing up 9 he found the talisman that 9 had taken from his 'home', laughing and examining it as 9 looked around in caution, having heard something.

"Are-Are we alone?" 9 asked. 2 smiled and waved his hand in dismissal.

    "No, no..."

A roar was heard, 2 was suddenly serious, taking up the bladed weapon he had on hand, telling 9 to hide in a nearby can. The 'camera' shot was shooting 2 from behind, and as it did mechanical claws were seen, clenching and getting closer to 2. Turning quickly 2 was faced with wretched beast. Its head the skull of a cat, one red optic glowing in an empty socket. Its body was haphazardously put together with a great number of small devices. It roared and smacked 2 with a taloned hand. Despite the obvious disadvantage in size, 2 tried his best to fight back. But he was no match for the beast, being tossed aside like, pardon the pun, a ragdoll. Hearing 9's rustling inside the can the beast attempted to claw 9 out of his hiding place, its claws just barely out of reach of the young stitchpunk. Before the beast could dig further into the can a small stone struck it on the head, taking its attention off 9.

"Here kitty kitty! Why don't you finish what you started.... With me?" 2 called to beast, picking up another stone in preparation of another distraction if needed. The beast was upon him quickly, snatching up the trembling 2 in its jaws, then picking up the almost forgotten talisman. After checking the can and finding nothing in it, the beast retreated, and 9 watched in horror as the only person he knew was taken from him. He was lost, alone, and injured. And he wandered until he fainted.

What...the...hell? Zippy frowned, her eyes slightly squinted and mouth ajar. "Holy...awh it's kinda cute! It's like a Barry kitty!" She looked around for Junior before remembering she was at her shop, and the cat was likely in Barry's armor napping. Damn. Instead she hugged Jo's arm, watching as the funky looking guy irritated the cat. They must not know to be nice to cats. Yes, that's what she got out of this scene. Be nice to kittens.

"Wasn't he just.... born?" Jo pointed out, a thoughtful crease between her brows. Seeing him run around like that and instantly know the other ragdoll as someone like him? How did he know they looked alike? Jo shook her head and decided not to think too hard about it. Zurg was beginning to rub off of her.

She ate some more popcorn and chuckled when Zippy called it a Barry kitty, but wondered what would happen to 2 now that he had been taken away, and to the other young one, 9, who was now unconscious. "Is this movie going to be depressing?" the mechanic asked, twirling a finger around one of Zippy's hair tufts.

"NOT 2! WHY 2?! Huh, depressing? Eh.... A wee bit, yeah." She wasn't going to tell them that over half the main characters die. Nope, the vampiress would let them find out the old fashioned way. Watching it and possibly yelling at the TV. Thats what she did anyway. Especially the yelling at the TV. Why did she yell at the TV? It changed nothing! Aw well, back to the movie.

When 9 awoke, well, lets just say it wasn't the way you'd WANT to wake up. There was an assortment of sharp impliments above him, and to make matters worse a pair of scissors entered his line of vision. In a panic 9 grabbed the scissors and managed to get them out of his 'attacker's' hands before falling off the bench he had been laying on. The one that had the scissors was another of his kind and looked very similar to 9. The differences being instead of a zipper he had two buttons and a brown leather patch where one of his optics should have been. The other quickly helped 9 to his feet, and finishing his work on literally patching 9 up. 5, as it was, was extremely pleasant. But upon him mentioning 2, 9 spoke up. "I was with him!"

"2? Out there? But-" Another voice added to the scene, an older voice.

"Keeping secrets from me, I see?" It was another older stitchpunk. But unlike 2 he was in fairly good condition. It was only his design how.... Basic it was, that gave him away. He seemed to be made of some canvas, with a strange Pope like hat, a red cape with a red jeweled clasp, and a staff. 1 roughly turned 9 with his staff to see his number on his back.

"I found him out there.... In the Emptiness..." 5 said, at this 1 turned on him quickly, backing poor 5 against a wall and catching the timid stitchpunk his staff.

"You can't go out there! You'll leave the Beast right to us!" 1 snapped.

"The beast! Thats what took 2! He was still alive! If we hurry we can still save him!" 9 exclaimed.

"If the Beast took him, thats the end of it." With that he slammed his staff on the ground an a larger stitchpunk emerged with an 8 on his arm and a large blade in his hands. After that 1, 5, 8, and 9 left the room, the leader showing 9 his 'Sanctuary'. And as the tour came to an end, he came to a calender and scratched off 2. But if you looked carefully enough you could see that 3, 4, and 7 had been scratched off as well. 1 then ordered 5 and 9 up to the watch tower.

As they left the scene switched to a black and white striped stitchpunk, humming strange tune as it finished drawing some strange symbols. As he pinned the finished product on a wall the screen panned out, showing that similar pictures completely covered the large wall.

When 9 and 5 reached the top of the church, the Sanctuary, 5 approached a telescope, resting a hand on it. "This is the first thing we made together..."

    "We could go find him."

"What? Out there? We can't!" 5 turned away from 9 after he said.

"Why do you listen to 1?" 9 asked.

"A-a group must have a leader..." 5 said, turning back to 9.

    "But what if he's wrong...?"

"But he could be anywhere out there!" 5 said, motioning out to the outside world. 9 furrowed his brow, looking around, then he spotted something.

"There! The beast took him there! Out to those three tall shapes!" As 9 pointed them out 5 looked through the telescope to see it better, but quickly stepped back.

"Oh no, no. We can't go there!"

"But... Wouldn't he do the same for you?" 9 asked, at this 5 lowered his gaze, as if ashamed. 9 patted 5's shoulder, walking over to the makeshift elevator.

"Wait!" 5 said, taking up piece of paper stuck on the wall of the lookout. "We're going to need a map." He smiled.

Zippy giggled and got a dopey grin when Jo played with her hair. Want to tame the Zipster? Play with her hair!

Right, movie. Zippy watched a bit interested, hoping to see the Barry!Kitty again. This was a rather strange movie. She found it a bit odd they just let the 9 dude stick around. Why didn't they just like...she didn't know, question him more? "...what?"

Jo was almost as confused as Zippy, but she decided to just relax and enjoy the movie, despite its fast pace. It seemed like OV really liked it, and Jo liked the dystopian and post-apocalyptic atmosphere, and decided to wait to see whether 9 and 5 would be able to save 2. She wondered whether the number 9 had any significance. She thought it might. Hadn't Zurg mentioned something about that number once a long time ago? She couldn't remember.

Still playing with Zippy's hair and nibbling on snacks, Jo focused her eyes on the movie again, wondering what would happen next.

The scene changed, 9 and 5 were out in the Emptiness, climbing through the debri. "You know, I don't mind having one eye... Kinda helps me focus on one thing at a time..." 5 said as they cleared the pile they were climbing over. 5 gasped, seeing something, he scampered quickly to grab it. 9 had spotted something as well, the weapon that 2 had earlier, having picked it up he walked over to 5, who was holding the 'hat' that 2 had used to light his way. As he held it a part of it broke off. "Why was he out here alone...?"

The scene changed again, they were out further in the emptiness, a strong wind blowing dust all around him. "Where's this tunnel!?" 9 called, trying to be heard over the wind.

"I don't know!" 5 said, looking up from the map in his hands, just before it blew away. 5 chased after it, going through barbed wire and finally getting close it, as the map got stuck on a jagged piece of wood pointing out from boards. As 5 approached the wood beneath him fell away. 9 grabbed him just in time and pulled him back out. But the map was gone. "What do we do now?" 5 called, the two of them looked around. 9 elbowed 5 and pointed at a tunnel not too far away. As the two made there way to the tunnel the scene changed again. The map was again stuck on something and a silhouette of an unknown character seemed to look at it, then in the direction of the tunnel.

9 and 5 came to the mouth of the tunnel. "Its too dark..." 9 looked around.

"We could use that." He said, looking at a car. 5 walked up to it and removed the lightbulb from the headlights. Handing the lightbulb to 9, 5 found a small power source. Putting the two together the lightbulb lit up.

"Huh!" 9 smiled. He stuck one end of the spear like weapon that had been 2's in the ground, removing the blade from the other side. He then took the socket that composed as 2's hat, fitted the weapon and the socket together, dropped the power source into it, and screwed the lightbulb into place. It light up.

"Heh! 2 would be impressed..." 5 smiled, but the smile faded quickly. 9 handed the blade he had taken off the weapon to 5.

"We'll find him..." 9 patted 5's shoulder and the went into the tunnel. Soon they arrived at the 'three tall shapes' 9 had pointed out. A factory.

"Uh, can I stay out here?" 5 asked with a hopeful smile. But when he got no response from 9 then just walking away he sighed and followed. After passing through a 'hall' of poison filled bombs, they came to a large open area. Out near the middle they spotted a birdcage and something in it. 2! 5 rushed up to it, grabbing 2's arm. "2! 2!" No response. 5 hung his head sadly. It seemed they had come to late. 2 moved. Apparently not. The older of the stitchpunks looked back and grabbed 5's hand that was still on his arm.

"I knew you would come." He smiled. 5 tried to say something but was interrupted by 2. "Shh!" He then pointed over a pile of debri. 9 climbed up further to see the Beast digging through the debri. He gasped and went back to the cage.

Meanwhile the Beast had just uncovered what it was looking for, it took the talisman and was about to put it into an odd socket when it heard something.

9 and 5 were trying to bend some of the bars of the cage, to release 2. A bright light shown on them, followed by a roar. The beast had caught them! In its haste to stop the two outside the cage it dove one of its taloned hands right through the cage, trying the grab them that way. And just barely avoiding nailing 2! When the 9 and 5 jumped out of the way, the beast flung the whole cage aside.

After a brief skirmish the Beast had all three cornered. Before it could attack, though, there was a strange whirring sound that took its attention off them. It was the mysterious figure from before, twirling something that was making the noise. They throw it at the beast, it wrapped around its jaws and knocked out the light in one of its sockets. The figure jumped onto the Beast, the mechanical fiend tried as best as it could to get it off. The figure jumped high, and brought its blade down on the Beast's neck, severing it. Jumping off the lifeless form the figure pulled up the bird skull they had as a helmet revealing... Another stitchpunk.

    "7!" 5 exclaimed, smiling.

"I don't believe it!" 2 approached the newly revealed stitchpunk, hugging her. 5 approached her as well.

"You came back!" 5 said again, still smiling.

"I never left. You just decided to join the fight." She said, handing the map back to 5. 9 sheepishly approached the group, holding out a shield that had been tugged off her arm during the skirmish with the Beast.

    "You dropped this." He said.

"Where did you come from?" 7 asked, pulling the shield back onto her arm. 2 however was paying his 'respects' to the Beast.

"You rust, shoddy, hacked together-" The elder kicked its jaw, "Ow!" He hopped around, holding his foot, but laughed as 5 and 7 helped him stand. 9 merely watched them, smiling. But then he spotted it. The talisman. He picked it up and examined it, he stopped and looked around. Seeing an odd socket nearby. Turning the talisman over, he saw that it looked as though it would fit perfectly into it.

"Don't do it, 9." OV said, almost in a panicked tone. "Don't do it! Don't be a n00b!" 9 approached the socket. "No! Don't do it! For the love of God, 9, don't do it!" 9 placed the talisman into the socket. 2 noticed it first.

"No stop! We don't know what it is!" He tried to pull it out. The talisman let out a green glow.

"Oh God, 2! 9!" OV bit at her lip, watching the scene unfold.

When it started glowing 2 pushed 9 out of the way, turning back to it. The talisman opened up and shot green 'energy' at 2. The others could only stare in shock as 2 flailed. Suddenly, the light retracted back into the talisman. 2 fell to the ground, his optics and mouth smouldering.

2 was dead. But the nightmare hadn't ended there. It was only beginning.

Now that her RPer wasn't so distracted, Zippy could probably correctly respond!

"BARRY KITTY! NOOOOOOOO!" ...what? The stitchpunks weren't as cute as Barry!Kitty! She flailed, falling off the couch. "NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

She stayed in the floor, watching some more, still interested. Soul sucking? What? Huh? That was odd. Sounded painful. "Huh. That can't be good...BUT THE BARRY! KITTY!" And right on cue, Junior managed to get into the shop and rub against Zippy. "Mah baby!" She swooped him up, watching the movie still. "Po' little guys...can't believe they hurt Barry kitty...he comes back, right OV? RIGHT?"

The teen turned to look at OV with HUGE eyes, like a little kid asking if her pet goldfish was just sleeping.

Hey, this movie was getting interesting! But something still nagged at Jo, like something really important was missing. Jo handed Zippy the snack bowl to distract her, grabbing some popcorn for herself. The mechanic wondered whether it was 9 himself. He just seemed too good to be true. Too noble, too helpful too--"Oh come on! Its obvious you're not supposed to do that! Don't stick that thing in, don't stick it--never mind." Something bad was going to happen now, she knew it. Oh wait a second, 2 was dead! Well, they just went through a load of trouble for 9's stupidity to cost them their companion's life. Jo had decided. "That 9's an agent of the bad guys, isn't he? He's going to kill them all."

OV just stared at Zippy. Just stared. "Zippy. The Cat Beast is dead and its not coming back." The Cat Beast was in NO way cute. Not even like Barry, where he was funny and had floof the Cat Beast was... Rusty and a cat skull and just... Creepy. Plus an innocent cat died to make the Cat Beast possible. She picked Zippy off the floor and put her back on the couch. "Anywho, there'll be more beasts to come."

"That 9's an agent of the bad guys, isn't he? He's going to kill them all."

"Uh... Yeeeeeaa-No. Just watch and see."

All at once the quiet factory stirred to life. In front of 9, covered in a large clothe-probably used for propaganda before the genocide- a great red light flickered on and started to rise up above them. 7, 9, and 5 started to run, and as they did and the light reached its full height it ripped the clothe to shreds. It was a single, giant optic . As they tried to escape they came to a 'cliff'. 5, who had his crossbow out, hurriedly tried to load a grappling hook into it. 7 looked around, spotting a lever above them. She directed 5's crossbow towards it, making him fire. It hit its mark. "Hold on!" She and 9 held onto 5 as they flung themselves off the edge, trying to get to the other side. 5 screamed.

But with their added weight and force of their trying to swing to the other side pulled the lever down. 5 and 9 landed on the other side, a conveyor belt that had delayed starting with the pulling of the lever. 7 however had fallen, managing to catch herself on a piece of juting equipment.

That one act of trying to escape had started up the factory, supplies falling out on the conveyor belt that 5 and 9 were on. To avoid getting crushed the two were pushed off the conveyor belt. 7 was having problems of her own, the large machine with the glowing red optic had found her, it reached out its claws, ready to grab her, but was distracted by 9 who made a noise in the distance, picking up his light staff from earlier. 7 was gone when it looked back to her. With sparks flying around its optic it turned on the other two stitchpunks, bringing its claws down all around them.

In the chaos 5 and 9 hid behind something, holding onto each other in fear. The machine's claw loomed closer and closer to their hiding spot, but again was distracted by a sound. As it went to investigate 7 jumped out in front of 5 and 9. "Lets go." She said, and the three started running again.

Finding that it had been tricked again, sparks flying around its optic as it again tried to smash them. But finally they were out of the factory. "Ohnonono... I knew we shouldn't have come... Why! Why did you do that!?" 5 exclaimed, shaking 9 by the shoulders.

"I didn't know! I'm sorry... I'm sorry..." 5 let go of him, looking down at the ground as he did.

"What were you thinking?" 7 asked.

"H-he's not coming back?" Her lower lip quivered, her eyes getting a bit misty. Oh dear, OV said the wrong thing. She sniffled, hiding her face in Junior's fur. Junior mrowred in aggravation but gave up his sturggle after Zippy didn't put him down, just glaring at the wall.

The teen watched the movie, sniffling all the while. Oh, look! Another...monster thingy! Woah, awesome place. But, it wasn't a Barry kitty.

Wow, Nine wasnt that smart, was he? She tsked, mumbling into Junior's side. The cat squirmed a bit more. "Uh...wow. Nine's an idiot."
