Chell watched, pleased, as Wheatley eagerly complied with their suggestion, zipping up into the air and illuminating the cluster of trees in front of them with ease. Considering how it had aided the both of them back during their reunion months ago, as well as their time spent as a team down in Aperture Labs, she had to admit it--that thing was useful. The former test subject gave Wheatley a sharp thumbs up before stepping forward to examine each tree before her, looking over each branch with a trained, critical eye. The pair she was looking at seemed to be decent enough prospects--one was maybe just a tad too short, and the other looked a bit sparse on one side, but if she was to be perfectly honest with herself, she didn't think she should really expect to find the perfect tree here.

Not as perfect as the one she had first laid eyes on back in the city, in any case. These hadn't been constantly tended to by people all their lives like she assumed some of the Christmas trees she'd seen in tents had been... these trees, while still nice, had already been exposed to the elements, and while she was certainly not about to settle for just any tree, maybe it would be wise for her to lower her standards. Biting her lip, she ran her fingers across a single branch, letting the needles tickle her skin. As beautiful as this little outing was, she wasn't about to force her friends to search around in the cold all night.

Luckily, thanks to Sheik, it looked like she wouldn't have to. Chell perked up at the boy's question, moving towards the tree he was addressing and taking it in with slightly narrowed eyes. She had somehow missed it before--it was a little inconspicuous compared to the other two firs that had caught her attention, but from what she was seeing now, it might have been an even better prospect. It looked to be just the right height for her living room, not too tall, not too short, and perfectly cone shaped, with no bald spots or wobbly bases that she could see. Tapping her finger thoughtfully against the side of her chin, she stepped forward to get a closer look, reaching forward and inwardly admiring how nice these needles felt in comparison to the dry, brittle ones she had encountered from a lot of other trees in the area. Color her impressed. There was really only one thing left to do... fixing the tree with a suspicious, slightly challenging look, she reached through and gripped the trunk once more, soon giving it her very best shake.

...To her surprise, there was no sudden flurry of needles. In fact, barely any had dropped at all from what she could see, causing her to raise her eyebrows with surprise. So, sturdy and well put together. If she didn't know any better, she'd say she might have found just about the perfect tree. Turning back to her friends, the former test subject fished around in one of her pockets before pulling out a smaller notepad (never leave home without one), getting to work on a message with the help of Wheatley as her light source. "So far, so good. What do you all think?"

Impa could not help but smile as Wheatley lit up on top of one of the noble firs close to them, right before further offering his assistance. "Yes, we do know what you mean," noted the Sheikah, nodding to him as he shone his light towards the trees in question. "And your assistance is greatly appreciated."

Indeed, the personality core seemed to have hit his light at the perfect setting and angle as he turned to the trees that Sheik had indicated. Impa had been able to see the trees without any problems, but hopefully the added illumination would help Chell to better find just the tree she was looking for, or at the very least find a better visual reference for what she was searching for. The Sage of Shadow carefully looked over each tree here, her red gaze soon narrowing slightly as she spotted the tree that the disguised princess seemed to have focused on. Now this was a distinct possibility…

This noble fir stood the perfect height for any of the first floor rooms of the Stock Pot Inn, and not only was it nice and full, it had a very symmetrical look for a wild grown tree. It was not pristine in the same way that many of the ones in the lots back in the city were, but it still looked to be rather healthy, and certainly very robust for this time of year. The needles bore the deep green that was perfect for a tree of this age, and as Chell stepped forward to give the tree her own personal test, it seemed to pass with flying colors.

Teamwork seemed to have won the evening here as Wheatley's bright light, Sheik's critical spot check, and Chell's sharp scrutiny found this candidate… now came the time to see if that could be completed with Impa's strong, swift axe. The Sheikah nodded at her friend's written question, soon smiling a touch more to her as she stated, "I think you might have found just the tree. It looks perfect to me."
