Ryoko grinned at Xiao's quick jerk of her head, but thankfully, her friend did not seem to jump to ask her just what she had meant about Ryo-Ohki not firing any energy beams as she was now. As far as her next amusing round of questions went though, the former space pirate simply laughed before winking at the yaojing. "Only if I had to. I'd probably just tackle you first." Regardless of their differing abilities, Ryoko had great confidence that she could catch and possibly ensnare Xiao if need be… hopefully though, such a course of action would not be needed for a very long time if ever.

"I do say so," noted Ryoko, nodding firmly to Xiao as they both turned their attention back to the cabbit. Even though her 'sister' was rather powerful in her own right, her good nature and youthful personality were more than enough to ensure the safety of their friend. As Ryo-Ohki kept a curious eye on the squirrel demon, Ryoko soon caught another look from her friend, so with another nod and an accented "Hm!", she hoped that that was the last bit of convincing she'd need.

As Xiao began to carefully move along the branch towards Ryo-Ohki, the cabbit's expression brightened slightly. "Myaa… myaa myaa!" Yes, she was a very safe and very still cabbit! She would not move until Ryoko's friend's mind had been eased! Hopefully though, her reassuring myaas were not too much here… but no matter what, she was still happy to meet this friend of her 'sister!'

Xiao wrinkled her nose in pretend displeasure at the thought of being tackled. From past experiences, being tackled while being out of control was by far the tamest solution and hopefully that would be all that it would take.

If she thought about it properly, it could be an advantageous thing she became friends with Ryoko. In the event that she really did lose herself again (NOT any time soon, or ever - she hoped), the chances of her dying as an aftermath might be reduced simply by her friend’s large range of skills and her mother’s ability. KoKo, being so powerful should be able to somehow pinned her down some way or another, hopefully before Xiao could do any major damage. Then if KoKo’s mother was as great and fabulous as the yaojing imagined her to be, there should be some way to cage her up somewhere or turn her into one of those slumbering princesses in the stories…. except Xiao wouldn’t want to be woken up via a kiss. Oh no, kisses on the lips were only for husbands - or husbands-to-be.

But what if by that point, she did have a significant other? Huuuuummmmmmm….. well, then waking up would have to rely on Mr. Significant Other not dying in whatever event it was that plagued them. Did that mean that Mr. Significant Other would have to be pretty strong in order to survive? Or alternatively, would he have to be pretty smart in order to know how to last until the end of the event? OR cowardly so that he could run away and stay safe? Eh, but she didn’t want a cowardly husband. Xiao Xiao could protect herself pretty fine-ish (maybe?) but she still has the girlish dreams of being protected by the man she loves!

Xiao shook her head to clear her thoughts. No, no, no. This was not the time to be drawing up a list of criterias for what would make her dream man. This was approaching cabbit time!

The squirrel got within half a foot of the cabbit, paused to sniff the air between them suspiciously then she shuffled from paw to paw nervously. Ryo-Ohki didn’t really smell like a cat. Rather, she smell like something Xiao cannot put her paw on. Carrots was definitely there, along with the forest ground that the creature had ran around on, and then there were parts of her that smells like Ryoko….

Xiao Xiao gave a soft whine, looked back at her best friend for reassurance. She gulped, closed her eyes and took the last few steps forward to bump her nose against that of Ryo-Ohki’s.

Ryoko snickered a bit at Xiao's reaction to her statement, inwardly wondering if she ever WOULD have to wind up tackling her friend in the future. Whether she did or didn't, at least she was prepared to do so if needed. Hopefully though, for whatever crisis decided to hit the Breach next, neither of them would wind up possessed or otherwise influenced against their will. And more than that, even with as much as the former space pirate never wanted things to get too boring around here, she was quite content for the next event to be quite some ways off.

As the yaojing shook her head once more, she seemed to get her last bit of courage steeled before she started to edge closer to Ryo-Ohki. As she moved closer, she paused to sniff the air as she appeared to be getting a better idea of just what sort of animal the cabbit was. A slight whine and a look back to her later, and Ryoko found herself nodding once more to Xiao, this time with an amused grin sneaking its way across her features. "Mm-hm!" That's it, Xiao! You could do this!

With her final resolve set, the squirrel demon stepped forward before promptly bumping her nose against Ryo-Ohki's own soft one. As Ryoko chuckled lightly at the exchange, the cabbit found herself especially happy. Xiao Xiao had not only approached her, she'd touched her nose! "Myaaa!" That made her especially happy!

"Myaa myaa!" At that, Ryo-Ohki perked up before moving to gently rub her own nose against Xiao's, hoping that the yaojing would not mind her returned gesture. She pulled back after a couple of nuzzles, and a short gasp was the only pause she had before moving to rub the top of her head against Xiao's shoulder. This friend of her 'sister' was so nice! She was so glad she was giving her a chance instead of being afraid of her!

The first thing Xiao noticed was that Ryo-Ohki’s nose was a little damp, which was perfectly normal for a furry animal. The next thing she noticed was that the cabbit was rubbing her nose against hers. Xiao blinked, unsure how to react nor how to proceed from this step on. The Ryo-Ohki pulled away and the yaojing almost breathed a sigh of relief, only to stop short as the cabbit returned within close proximity again.

Her mind blanked out as the furry creature suddenly moved to rub her head on her shoulder. So unprepared was the squirrel for this that the head rub made Xiao stumble a step back in reflex before she realised what was going on. It was all she could do not to squeeze her eyes shut and give a surprised yelp before bouncing back. Instead, Xiao Xiao steeled herself, counted pistachio nuts  in her mind and forced herself not to withdraw. Go Xiao Xiao! You can do it! Be brave, Xiao Xiao! She told herself amongst the one pistachio nut, two pistachio nuts and three pistachio nuts counting.

Amazingly, she only managed to need to reach six pistachio nuts before she realised this wasn’t so bad. KoKo’s sister was as soft as she looked and that was something the squirrel more than appreciated. Now that she was in such close quarters with Ryo-Ohki, she gave the fur a fascinated look. After a tentative sniff, Xiao put a paw on the cabbit’s head before she could pull away and scratched at the base of the ears.

Xiao turned back to her friend. “If you are sisters, then does that mean you can turn into a cabbit too? Would you have the same colouring as well?”

Considering KoKo’s long list of abilities, the hair-obsessed squirrel would not be surprised if she had an animal form.

Amidst her nuzzling of Xiao Xiao, Ryo-Ohki soon found the yaojing giving her a quick sniff, before moving to scratch her right at the base of her ears. The cabbit's eyes closed a bit more tightly as she reveled in just how good that felt, and she was unable to suppress a soft "Myaaa…" Not only was Ryoko's friend extra cute and sweet, she also knew just where to give good scratchies! Even though the squirrel demon was rather small, she still had a good sense of where to rub her, and Ryo-Ohki knew that she could certainly get used to this.

As Ryoko grinned at the exchange between her 'sister' and friend, she did soon blink at Xiao's next question. Now that was a thought… but certainly not an accurate one. Ryo-Ohki was the only transformer here, with her ability to shift between her cabbit and spaceship forms. Anything she herself could do was more simply shifting, and she was pretty sure that her non-corporeal form didn't count.

"No, it doesn't, and I can't," noted Ryoko, shaking her head. "We're technically sisters because Washu made both of us in her lab… since she made us, that's why she's considered our mother. Ryo-Ohki and I were made from much the same thing, but the main difference is that Washu actually used one of her own eggs for me." It might not have been the typical method of birth, but hey, it worked. Ryoko was here and that was the main thing she cared about… even if later discovering her origin had been a major surprise.

Hearing that her friend could not turn into a fluffy animal brought about feelings of confusion and also relief for this young squirrel. The latter because it meant she did have to deal with another cat-ish creature, one at a time is more than enough for her right now. The confused feelings arose from knowing that they share the same mother. How can they be sisters if they have different abilities? Xiao Xiao could understand if it was something minor - something like being able to roll your tongue or wriggle your ears. But the ability to transform was pretty major.

"Wait, you're from your mother's egg and she wasn't? So... She is your sister on your father's side?” Xiao continued to scratch the top of Ryo-Ohki’s head as she considered this new piece of information. The scratching then slowed a fraction as the yaojing did a rewind. Did she hear that right? “No, wait….more importantly, you're from an EGG?!"

Now, now, the yaojing knew about the birds and the bees. Things are created by joining a male and a female, specifically certain parts of the body. Unfortunately, that was as far as her knowledge went, the finer biological details were missing. As far as she knew and remember, only reptiles, fishies and birdies lay eggs. Not mammals.

The squirrel looked at her friend up and down inquisitively. Perhaps space pirates work differently. They are born from eggs… she wasn’t very sure of the image of Ryoko laying an egg though, but nonetheless she wanted to show she was there to support her as a friend. “I don’t lay eggs, but if you ever need somebody to keep your eggs warm in the future, I don’t mind looking after them while you take a break. I’ll cover them with my tail and keep them toasty warm.”

"Nope," said Ryoko, shaking her head slightly. "Neither of us technically have a father. Like I said, she's my 'sister' because Washu made both of us in her lab… I just--" And before Ryoko could finish her point, it appeared that Xiao's mind chose that exact moment to rewind back to another key aspect about how both she and the cabbit had come to be. "… ah, yeah… I am." Wait, why was that surprising? Surely Xiao Xiao was from an egg – or technically an ovum – as well. She might have been a demon, but she was still a mammal. Egg cells weren't the eggs that many people thought of when they heard the word egg of course, but come on! She'd said one of Washu's OWN eggs! That should help at least a little here!

Ryo-Ohki blinked curiously at Xiao as the yaojing moved to offer kind if not confusing support for if her 'sister' ever happened to lay any eggs. But… Ryoko didn't lay eggs! The only eggs around here were the chance of the cabbit herself regenerating as one! But even so, that was completely different from what Xiao had in mind!

    "Myaa?"

Unable to suppress an amused grin at the whole thing, Ryoko gently nudged Xiao's shoulders with one of her knuckles. "Hey, come on! I appreciate it, but I don't lay eggs. I said eggs but that's just another name for the tiny cells in your body that help make a baby. Think of them as what's inside you that can later become a baby… after, well… you know. That's why babies look a lot like their parents, because they also come from an actual part of them." Pausing as she hoped that this significantly simplified explanation was making sense, the former space pirate added, "Anyway, Washu considers herself the mother of both of us because she took the time to make us in her lab… you know, a science lab. We were born differently than most others, but we were still born, and that's what counts."

[[A/N: Well, this is certainly an UNEXPECTED turn of events and as always, I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT I JUST WROTE?!]]

Cells! Xiao knew that that word, she thought as she rocked a little from the knuckle nudge. You can almost read the definition of the word flash across the squirrel’s furry face.

Cells (noun), 1. Those rooms in prison with with the cage bars (like cold and brrrr and yuck and no) 2. Another word in modern earth for a handheld wireless phone (she knew all those romance novels would come in handy) 3. Wasn’t there something about batteries as well? 4. Tiny tiny tiny bits of a living thing.

Huh, so the cells in the body that makes babies are called ‘eggs’ huh? The squirrel looked down at her own belly, trying very hard to imagine there are a bunch of eggs inside her. If an egg is all you need to create a baby (like her fatherless friends) then why on earth would you need a man for? Unless… well, the act of ‘making a baby’ (at least the one that she originally knew of) did include shoving a part of the male into a part of the female. Could it be that the male’s part knocked an egg loose in the female and then the egg moves into position to hatch and grow into a baby? So the man is only a tool to dislodge an egg? In that sense does that mean anything is fine as long as it fits and could go up there to dislodge? That was certainly good to know if she ever ended up husband-less. She just needed to stick something up there and yay baby!

Then her expression turned immediately into one of absolute horror as she imagined the possibility putting something in there by herself - any something! That was just… yuck and wrong and all sorts of ew. It was most certainly a part that Xiao had no intention of thinking about. In fact, she was going through life NOT thinking about that part of her body. It was just something that was there, and it was much better for it to be there through her whole life so she was used to owning one, than it was to suddenly need to grow one when she wants a baby with her husband. In fact, she had entirely hoped that she would not feel anything when the time came for the baby making! She was hoping the husband would sort it out and all she really needed to do is just give him access to the area.

Oh please let her have a husband in the future! She did NOT want to make a baby by herself!

The squirrel nodded along to KoKo’s words. Made differently; now that she knew the real way making babies worked, that was certainly DIFFERENT from the normal way she had always believed to be true. So KoKo’s mother did the er…. self-yucky in a lab, with lab stuff…. The squirrel did not know if that was considered ‘too much information’ or not, but she felt a renewed sense of respect for her friend for being so casual and open about these kind of stuff.

“Well… um, my offer still stands to help you and Ryo-ohki look after your eg--children if you need it. I’m sure they would look very adorable.” Awwwwww baby Ryo-Ohkis and KoKos. They could be best friends with baby Xiaos and they could have tea parties, picnics and joint family day outs!

Ryoko could tell that Xiao was trying to wrap her head around the concept of eggs as cells inside of her own body, and she just hoped that her own simple explanation had not confused her friend. The former space pirate did not know nearly as much about this sort of thing as Washu, both from a general as well as really scientific frame of mind, but at the very least, she did know the basics. That had been pieced together between her past and more recent years, but all the same, she had figured out the general information.

Unlike the yaojing however, she did know that male cells were just as important to the whole process, and that guys were not simply tools to help set everything into motion. She had no idea just what her friend was thinking here, although she did blink in confusion as she caught Xiao's suddenly horrified facial expression. "Xiao? Are you all right?" Ryoko asked, even going so far as to wave a hand in front of the squirrel demon's face.

After some more pondering, her friend seemed to snap out of it, just before she noted that her offer to look after her potential future children still stood. The former space pirate was not sure if or when she might ever have kids here, especially since the only person she would want to be their father was not on the Breach, but she appreciated the sentiment nonetheless. "Heh-heh, well, I have no idea if I will have kids here, but if that day does comes, thank you. I bet you're great with babies." Having a slightly more childish mind of her own in some regards would certainly help her get down on the same level as kids, and given Xiao's own personality, it seemed that she herself was rather keen about babies in general.

“I don’t know if I will have children here either...” said the squirrel. “I would like some, but I don’t know if I can find somebody here, which I could be with in that way. The local squirrels aren’t really my type.”

She twisted her nose at the thought of being romantically involved with the squirrels in this forest area. No, no, not her type at all. Plus, it was difficult to be with a normal squirrel when you’re a yaojing. You outlive them by miles and they just don’t seem to understand and live the same way.

“Oh, I’m great with babies,” Xiao chimed merrily. She turned herself around on the branch, then settled with sitting with her back leant against her best friend’s leg. The squirrel looked at Ryo-Ohki a little unsure, but after a while, she magicked a comb into her paws and waved for her friend’s sister to come sit close to her. “I come from a big family. I have twenty six older siblings and seven younger ones. I don’t have as much experience with children as my older brother and sisters, but I did help out some in taking care of the younger ones. They’re adorable, however I admit I often felt very jealous of the attention they got when I was young…. And maybe still acted a bit childish about it at times even when I was a little older.”

One moment she was the youngest of the lot and she was expected to be the last one, hence why her parents broke their naming tradition and named her Xiao Xiao, ‘Little Little’ instead of naming her after a number. Then mother and father had to get all giggly drunk off rice wine, forgot all about not having more children and create another small litter…. And another one after that. Hmph, so much for being the ‘Littlest’ of the family. That was a title now formally owned by her youngest brother, Xiao Di.

“What about you, KoKo?” she asked. The squirrel craned her head back to look at her friend, the top of her head touched the space pirate’s leg as she did so. “Do you have experience with children? Maybe looking away Ryo-Ohki when she was born?”

Though she wasn’t sure if that would be exactly the same as Ryo-Ohki was obviously different to Ryoko.

Post by Space Pirate Ryoko on Wed Apr 01, 2015 1:17 pm

Nodding as Xiao noted that she wasn't sure if she herself might have kids here, Ryoko soon fought to suppress an amused smirk at the mention that the local squirrels weren't really her type. Any laughter that might have started to build up within her managed to come out as a stifled snort, which she hoped the yaojing wouldn't mind too much if at all. She knew that she was a squirrel demon first and foremost, but there was one possible bonus here though. "That's a shame, although… it does help that you can transform, right? Not that you would have to settle for a human, but… does that give you more options?" It made perfect sense if Xiao wanted to stick to squirrels and squirrels only, but as a humanoid alien herself, Ryoko knew very well that love could work in very interesting ways.

Granted, the differences between a Chousin/mass hybrid and human were not that distinct on a physical level… which in turn brought up the curious thought of just what differences existed between Xiao's two forms, aside from the very obvious ones that was.

Grinning at Xiao's quip about being great with babies as she moved to settle even more next to her, Ryoko's expression brightened even more when she saw her friend gesture for Ryo-Ohki to come join her. The cabbit's ears perked up and she was all too happy to listen to this request, so with a quick "Myaa!" and a couple of careful bounds later, she had sat right next to Xiao Xiao. If that comb was for what she thought it was for, then Ryo-Ohki was in for a special treat!

Nodding Xiao explained just how big of a family she came from and how she herself had settled in that dynamic, Ryoko found herself rather surprised that the yaojing had just that many siblings. That was WAY too many in her book! How in the world did her parents keep track of everyone?! "Wow… that's a lot of siblings… aside from Ryo-Ohki, it's just me. You're making me even more glad for that!" The former space pirate might now have known much about her own family life early on, but even so… she couldn't imagine trying to grow up or live with that many siblings. The chaos in the Masaki household was more than enough. Huh… although Ryo-Ohki was technically a different story from she herself, maybe Washu stopped with her because she thought she'd already achieved perfection. Ryoko liked the sound of that… and by that thought process, if she'd known how Xiao had been meant to be the last of the kids in her family, then she also followed the definition of parents stopping at perfection, other accidental litters not withstanding. "Hey, you were still their kid even if you weren't always the youngest, you still deserve attention. You wanted love and attention, right? That's completely fair." Maybe acting childish wasn't fair, but the base principle still stood.

Raising her eyebrows at Xiao's questions, Ryoko thought for a couple of seconds before stating, "Save helping out with a friend's younger sister in some ways, although she could already take care of herself pretty well, and watching someone grow up... not really. I've looked after Ryo-Ohki when she rehatched a couple of years ago, but even then, so long as I make sure she's got food, she mostly knows how to take care of herself." She could get into trouble as well, but that alone proved another way that they were most assuredly 'sisters.'

When Ryo-Ohki came near and sat down by her, Xiao chewed on the inside of her cheek gently as she looked uncertainly at the cabbit. It DID made kind of cat noises, and whilst the yaojing had confirmed the creature in front of her was not a cat, it would take a little while to get over the feeling. Like… like being told something which looked a little like a pickle, was actually not a pickle and whilst now you know it wasn’t a pickle, it would take you a bit of time to actually pick it up and try it out?

Xiao touched a paw on the fur on Ryo-Ohki’s back and when the fur did not eat, burn, harm, injure, sizzle, bite nor glare at her (not that she was expecting it to) but continued to be its exceptionally soft self, she let out a breath she did not realise she was holding. Carefully, Xiao pulled one of the cabbit’s long ears towards her and started brushing at the fur on its back. The brushing barely started before it stopped as the comb froze and Xiao Xiao blinked dumbly backwards and up at the cabbit’s older sister.

    …. what?

“More… options?” Oh dear, it seems like the space pirate had temporarily broken the squirrel’s brain there. “I don’t understand. More options? If I don’t marry a squirrel, what am I to marry? A chipmunk? But a chipmunk isn’t a squirr--wait...”

The brain unbroke itself and started clanking back into motion from zero to top speed. “HWEEEEEH?!”

Wait, get together with a human? Or something like that? “But… but… squirrel and… and... how… but… squirrel babies don’t...wait…HUUUUH?” QUESTION MARKS?! Her mind was overfilling with questions marks!

It had dawned to Xiao that whilst she had seen and wordlessly supported different kinds of beings finding love in and getting involved with one another, she had not yet thought that way for herself. Whenever she had imagined her own future, it was always an image of herself standing beside a squirrel-husband and surrounded with squirrel-babies. It was so natural for her that she never thought that the husband would not be a squirrel…. did that mean she won’t have any squirrel babies?

Well, she was fairly sure that whatever babies she might have, would bound to have some squirrel traits so that wasn’t too much of a worry in hindsight. But...no lovely squirrel husband to twine her own fluffy tail with like mother would do with father’s tail? Admittedly, Xiao’s heart broke a little at the thought of that.

But if she did open up her options to non-squirrels, then suddenly her search pool was MASSIVE! Dauntingly so! She didn’t even hear what KoKo said afterwards. Instead, Xiao’s mind immediately started going through every single eligible bachelor friend she had.

Nope, nope, nope, nope, nope and more nope, nope, nope, wait, backtrack there. Can they even have babies? Regardless, nope, nope, nope. There was NO-ONE she saw in that way. Not even her precious Lord Vaati. In fact, if anything she was utmost sure that Lord Vaati would NEVER be a husband candidate. That was like marrying your brother-uncle-father-mentor-master-object-of-worship. That was just wrong. Though she did rather entertain the idea of the wind mage playing the father role and giving away her hand in marriage to her husband….

“I don’t have to find one right away, do I?” she blurted out before she could actually think of what she just said. It sounded both hopeful yet panicky at the same time. Suddenly, finding a romantic partner in life wasn't just a difficult wistful dream, but a rather scary and daunting very certain possibility.

Ryo-Ohki had just closed her eyes and feeling how nice Xiao Xiao's brushing felt, but that wonderful sensation only lasted a few seconds for some reason. This in turn caused the cabbit to blink and look back towards the yaojing. "Myaa…?" Was everything all right?

As for Ryoko herself, she blinked as well, just before cocking an eyebrow at Xiao's question. "Yeeeah?" Why couldn't there be more options? Didn't that make sense to her friend as well? When her sudden deluge of questions confirmed that she herself had in fact not understood what she'd meant by the simple statement, the former space pirate paused only as long as it took her to trail off before she spoke again. "You could marry someone else. They could be a human, another transforming demon, whoever you like!" After all, if Xiao could turn into a human, then she could definitely land a humanoid significant other!

Even though this made perfect sense to Ryoko, and that stood regardless of the fact that she was a humanoid alien that fell in love with a human, it appeared that she had thoroughly and utterly confused the heck out of Xiao. With a stunned exclamation and subsequent attempt to ask her just what she meant, the former space pirate could barely contain the upwelling of laughter she felt within her. Had Xiao seriously not thought of this?! Attempting to get ahold of herself so that she wouldn't bust out laughing, Ryoko stifled several giggles and chortles before she simply stated, "Well, you CAN transform, right? So that makes your pool of guys to choose from even bigger." No matter how that might translate into offspring, there was still a possibility there, and if she just so happened to fall for someone what was not a squirrel, her ability to change forms definitely worked in her favor.

Thankfully, no matter where Xiao's mind had wandered off to in wake of what was apparently a new revelation for her, she managed to reel it back in long enough to formulate an actual, complete, and non-stuttered question. Grinning in amusement at just what the squirrel demon had asked, Ryoko simply shook her head. "Of course you don't. You can find one whenever you're ready! It's love! Take it at your own pace!" Whether that was fast and sudden or slow and steady, all that mattered was finding that special someone and being able to win their heart. The time spent with them was the most important thing, and that stood no matter how fast it moved.

“Yes, yes, I can transform…” agreed Xiao though it sounded a little detached and doubtful. Her mind branched off from that comment and sprinted top speed through all sorts of things of things. Yes, indeed. She CAN transform. Granted, she usually chose human form, but other things were open too. She was just too lazy to learn it about other bodies to actually transform into them.

But, theoretically, if she fell in love with an unknown species, an alien or otherworldly creature, she could effectively take time to learn how to transform into their kind for the mating bit and they could potentially have offspring. Though, she had no idea what on earth their offsprings would be like nor if their er… oh dear, normal human and mammal mating thingies were intimidating already, what if alien ones were even more weird? What on earth was she to do if her partner had funny or dangerous body parts involved in the baby-making? No, what about the baby itself? What if her yaojing body cannot carry the baby and it tried to eat its way out or reject her?

“No dangerous looking aliens and beings,” she finally concluded aloud. She looked up at KoKo again for help and guidance. “At least, as far as I can help it? Or is it rude to strike them off the list immediately? I don’t know about you, but the thought of having something in my tummy which has insect like legs, claws or tentacles is kind of icky.”

Xiao shuddered and fought the urge to wrap her paws around her belly for protection, instead she went back to combing Ryo-Ohki’s fur. Right, pink polka dot sticky note to self, before they marry, she is suck up some courage and ask her significant other about this embarrassing topic, because she would definitely have to rethink marriage and um... Having babies if it could potentially be dangerous for her. Surely her significant other would understand….

"Then there you go!" Ryoko exclaimed, grinning as she gently nudged Xiao with her fist. "See? You can transform, so that means that you've got an advantage for any guy that happens to catch your fancy!" That didn't meant that she had to stick herself solely to squirrels or humanoids, but at the very least, the yaojing had quite a bit of flexibility. The poor thing seemed to be highly confused by this logic bomb though, but at least she seemed to be giving it some thought. As far as Ryoko was concerned, it wasn't something to spend too much time mulling over, but nevertheless, Xiao seemed to finally come around.

Unable to resist a bark of laughter at Xiao's question, Ryoko could not help but quip. "Oh, so you don't think I look dangerous, huh?" She herself was an alien, after all. Still, she knew what her friend meant and was quick to give her a reassuring pat on the back before she added, "Hey, that's fine! You choose whoever you want. All I meant was that you've got a major advantage in that you're not just limited to squirrels. If you found a human that you really, really loved, then you would still be able to be with him."

Around Ryo-Ohki happily losing herself in being combed again, Ryoko added, "And I'm sure that no matter who you found, your babies would still be cute and adorable."
