Aradia Megido smiled brightly at the Dark Judge, finding that the ram skull fit so nicely in his hands. She felt a little bit of elation that there was someone who was so interested and dedicated to death as she was, though they had differing views. These different views often lead to disagreeable actions but she tried to respect that. Unfortunately she could not respect the Witch's earthquake and the terrible stomachache it left. Regardless, she carried on, gave the chump controlled by its master chump three whip lashes. Yes... That should do a little bit of good.

As she attacked, she found that Vaati and Knock Out were on their last legs. Everyone was, but she felt it was tragedy because the two were just so radical, and she doubted they would earn the heroic majestic honors they deserved. Either way, was this really heroic? Not really, and nor was the fire. Trying to rid herself of irrelevant things, the curly horned troll returned to the Judge to hear his important questions, and Aradia could not agree any more about how relevant this was for her. These gifts were like Gucci shoes and Chanel handbags for human girls; yet, the man trap seemed more like the Judge's unique and trendy style.

So, having made up her mind, she said with true gratitude, "i prefer expl0si0ns thank y0u" Explosions were a girl's best friend, after all! Oh, Aradia, your reasoning was so out of whack!

    HP: 73/190
    AP: 6/28

    Whipkind (melee):

--The whip resembles the troll Indiana Jones whip but Aradia modified it so that it was usable in FLARP and possibly battle if needed be. The whip is made out of leather and the handle is made out of wood. The whip separates into two flagella and the heads, or tips, are made out of a strong metal found only on Alternia. The whip can be divided into two mini whips that look exactly like the troll Indiana Jones’ whip if the main handle’s button is pressed.

Specifics: 2d/1c; in this case 6d/3c

Post by Fear on Sat Mar 29, 2014 11:53 pm

Whoops, seems like the Witch was on the move.

Naturally such a mortal blow would not affect the Dark Judge, for Judge Fear was made of tougher stuff. That having been said, the average human did not make for a very resilient host. The Witch's thundering stomp was more than enough to send the ghoul several feet up into the air and away, thereby yet again falling upon a pile of jagged debris. Unlike before, where he had probably dislodged a bone or two, the Dark Judge hear something important go - SPLERT! - and immediately knew that he was then without a kidney. Didn't need that crummy thing, anyway. Although he could have certainly gone without being impaled through the abdomen...

Mildly swearing to himself internally and feeling all shades of irritated, Judge Fear forced himself up and gripped at the meddlesome plank of wood that had so gleefully inconvenienced him. Look at this mess! Dead fluids were just pouring out from everywhere. How was he supposed to go around doing his job like a loathsome slob if his uniform was in utter ruin? "Ridiculous," he hissed, angrily staring downward at the gaping wound. "This is absolutely ridiculous."

Said an undead super-fiend from an alternate dimension tasked with purging the living, for they have sinned. Nothing plenty ridiculous about that, no sir. If anything, everyone else were the ridiculous ones. What sane person decided to live a life of sin?

With a sickening wrench the ghoul forced this contemptible body upright and stumbled forward. Never mind that wide, round hole that allowed you to see clearly through his midsection, sinners. The Dark Judge was more than capable of guiding your iniquitous souls onto the path of righteousness. And speaking of righteousness... He finished dusting his garb of office and noticed how dismally low several of the unfortunate individuals were. Oh good! One decent session alone with them all and he'll have appeased his quota for the day. Of course this would not be easy, as there was a rather perturbed Witch in the way and this foul-smelling vessel had seen better days, but it was a worthy goal to pursue. Now, who should he... Aha! Yes, that sinner shall make for a perfectly fine target. Judge Fear will get to the rest after this one, crumbling body permitting.

Grey child, it was time you knew the definition of Fear! But there seemed to be a change of plans...

    Grey Child wrote:"i prefer expl0si0ns thank y0u"

    You heard the lovely girl!

Pleased with her decision (although the grey child might not know why), Judge Fear handed her a shrunken head and lightly patted her crop of curly black hair. "A girl after my own just heart," he hissed. Explosions made for such fascinating purging sessions. Gift exchange finished and the ram skull still in his possession, the Dark Judge shambled away and stood beside something sturdy. Something that could survive, oh, a sudden blast impact. "Alright, let the fireworks fly." Oddly, the ghoul had not been speaking to Aradia...

Suddenly, as if on cue, the head within the grey child's hands began to stir and a pair of sullen, red eyes peered up at her. "It's nothin' personal," the shrunken head yawned, sleepy. "It's just that I gotta follow the Boss' orders - oh, and try to smile for the flash, wouldya? Thanks, you're real swell."

    ...Flash? What fla -

    BOOOOOOM!
From his safe distance away and with a hand just above his helm's gates, Judge Fear casually stood upright as the explosion's shockwave rattled the area something fierce. "I am sure she has a beautiful smile regardless," the ghoul stated offhandedly.

Those of you that chose to continue to attack the Witches body chose to use more strategic methods. A wise idea! While hacking away with your swords and shooting with your science wands was a good way to cause harm, that would only get you so far. Sometimes your brain was the better weapon, especially against such a dangerous enemy. The attacks bore down on the Witches skin and under the assault it broke. The damage was intense with dark blood spewing forth, the blood quickly crystallized however, as the body attempted to keep the leg attached.

Those of you that did not attack though seemed to resign yourselves to death and to attacking your own teammates. There was a monster for that you know, killing your allies was unnecessary when the monster could do it for you. Still, the entity inside was highly amused. But then again it was always amused, or angry. It was not the most stable of entities.

Tearing at the skin of its four arms the monster drew blood and then swung its arms in great fast circles above its head and the heads of the warriors who opposed it. The blood fell from the arms and propelled through the air, crystallizing in its descent. A crystal rain of razors, how utterly lovely.

Action -- You wish it was chocolate rain

Well, that was just lovely~ Of course, the explosion hurt like hell, eliciting a scream or two but that didn't irritate or sadden or muddle the ram troll as much as the failed potential if she was able to use it on someone else. Not only that, the shrunken head was tired. Certainly, when you were killing people, you could at least make it more convenient for your murdering tools! It was not much of an assassination, though, and you did a pretty banged up job, Fear so you might as well get a gold star anyway for stirring up all the bad feelings inside and purging her, at least according to Megido logic, or rather the absence of logic itself. Aradia swore to God that she couldn't see half of her body, but she kept up a smile, because for what she thought was a good amount of time, no one else fighting got hurt other than her. Her intentions were to protect the others, and not necessarily herself.

Still, she had to give her last words as the flash went off and she was sent midair. With the monster swinging its arms and sending bloody razors everywhere, she was impaled to the ground thankfully within Eridan's hearing distance but not too explicitly close. Aradia sure hoped no one saw her body for too long; a sight for sore eyes, she'd say! No, that wasn't actually what she would say. In fact, the rust blood's words were more along the lines of: "its been a pleasure but please d0nt mind me c0ntinue if y0u will" Or can, but that went without saying. It'd be a pity if she distracted them, being the people on her side, from fighting. However, allw as left was Eridan. She had faith in him. Her stupidity was her own; she did not want anyone else--much less her first matespirit--to suffer from it, but it seemed she would have to.

The Aries troll's voice became quiet as she used her dying strength to make a heart symbol with her hands and to tell Eridan, "at least we were t0gether and we will be again s0rry f0r being such a dumbass ill see y0u" Surely, she did not need words to assure Eridan that everything went as well as it could for her. She had put herself in a position that compromised her health quickly, but at least in an orderly fashion that she wanted it to go in. The witch had killed her, not Fear.

After watching her nearly identical blood mingle with the witch's, Aradia Megido faded into code. "it d0esnt hurt" she commented, reasoning that all the other pain was overloading her, before disappearing from the forest and into the Pool of Souls.

"hi im dead and y0ure watching disney channel”

She's dead. Like whole dead. She used to be 1% then 2% and Judge helped make it half and half but have a nice creamy whole milk for the bitter coffee down the road~

    "They have been judged!"
In the blink of an eye three sinners were no more, their offensive energies stricken from the Dark Judge's vision. Child, mage, and mech; what did it matter? What did it matter when you have committed sin? Oh, and...

The Dark Judge hadn't forgotten his word, and he pretended to spit upon his foul palms. Several times did he "clean" his helm and pauldrons, both accessories having long been tarnished, and he proceeded to make himself presentable for a certain large mech. "There we are," the undead fiend hissed. "I am now looking the best I possibly can be in this annoying situation."

Two others had perished, however, so it was naturally selfish to think about just the one.

Elated, Judge Fear's penetrative voice could be heard booming within both mind and nearby surroundings. No able soul, alive or otherwise, will be able to ignore such vociferous laughter emanating from that macabre throat. "Did you see her smile, boy?" the ghoul heckled Eridan from afar, thirst for sadism not yet quenched. "Did you see the way your friend's blood flowed from her mangled, burnt corpse?" Such malicious talk endured a pause as the Witch's crystallized blood rained down from high above, but not for long. The Dark Judge once more cackled and threw back his head, arms spread wide, as he let the jagged projectiles tear through his body like it were nothing more than aged paper. "Let the end come!" he cried, sickly fluids dribbling out from his rotten wounds. "Let the judgement come upon this day and punish these iniquitous mortals!" It shan't be long now, those of you who stubbornly cling to whatever crimes you hold dear! Three little sinners forced to see the wickedness of their ways, and little three sinners left... With his ethereal gazed fixated upon the last grey child and showing no signs of wavering or mercy, the Dark Judge stepped over where Aradia's corpse had once been and halted at that very spot.

"She died right here, you know..." he hissed, wishing nothing more than to inflict anguish upon the child. "In fact, it's still very much warm. Why don't you come here, boy, and take comfort in the fact that you had failed to protect her?" After all, you two much certainly had been close... Judge Fear couldn't begin to imagine how much it pained you to lose your better half.

    But why stop there?

No longer desiring to entertain this charade any longer, the ghoul let out a lengthy and ominous hiss. "Killing your pathetic little group from within had been laughably easy," he began. "Let me count for you the ways I brought suffering upon you all." You'll be wanting to hear this, Eridan.

"I was the one who instigated your feelings of paranoia, malaise, and anxiety...
I was the one who distressed the rosebush from afar, therefore responsible for the techno-organic's death...
I was the one who awakened the creature, allowing them to see the wickedness of your actions...
I was the one weakening several of you throughout this worthless battle...
I was the one who killed the ghost-child and the blue-haired woman...
    And I..."

Here it was, the final kick while you were down...
"And I..." Judge Fear continued, his voice sickeningly smooth, "was the one to have damaged your friend to the point where she would die before YOU!"

Again the ghoul laughed, again the ghoul allowed the cruelty of his actions to be shown for what they were. He would, of course, deny such harsh allegations and instead believe them to be virtuous. Pleased with his confessions and feeling no ounce of remorse for them, Judge Fear was not yet done. Not with the boy, at least. "You will die," he evenly stated, one hand resting upon a mantrap. "You will die, as has been ordained in death, and I will have the sole satisfaction in watching the life drain from your apathetic, selfish eyes. But first I would like to impart upon you a memento..." A gift, if you will.

A decrepit hand reached out, its leathery skin audibly stretching, and the Dark Judge slowly began to twirl one of his numerous chained mantraps off to the side. "For your arrogance in life and your inability to pursue a wholesome existence accordingly, I hereby sentence you to relive a nightmare unending!"

And if you had thought Judge Fear ruthless thus far, then you clearly were ignorant to just how unforgiving Dark Judges can be.

With one awful laugh the ghoul pooled his psychic energies together, those wicked and nauseating energies, and proceeded to slam them directly into Eridan's mental fortifications; provided he had any, of course. Images began to flash within the boy's head, fleeting sensations pertaining to Aradia's brutal demise, and Judge Fear did not hold back.

See her smile, tired and pallid...
Smell her blood, fresh and vivid...
Hear the pain in her voice, her soul not long for this world...
    And, lastly, feel her pain...

Share in her torment and know that your prolonged existence was the highest form of suffering itself!

These revolting sensations attempted to worm their way deeper into Eridan's mind, but they were not alone. A darker presence soon clawed itself into the boy's thoughts, Judge Fear's sickly aura cancerous. I took delight in being a part of her death, the ghoul whispered, his voice softly occupying Eridan's ears. It is unfortunate that her pretty little corpse did not linger for very long... Her bloodied smile is something I will cherish always.

As quick to leave as he had been quick to enter, the Dark Judge ceased his mental link with the boy and could stay his hand no longer. Let the earth be stained with the blood of the damned! Let this tainted forest be forever marred by the iniquitous few who started this blight! And let these sinners, oh let these sinners, experience a pain so deep... so soul-scarring... that they forfeit their lives and continue to be wicked no longer!

The many links in the mantrap's chain giving off a distinct rattle, Judge Fear whipped his inhumane weapon once around high over head and tossed it Eridan's way. Cry, boy! Cry and become intimate with the one who sought to make your existence a living Hell!

Cry, because there was nothing you could do...

Well... this was it. The end. Of course, he'd been paying attention to Aradia; why would he not? Aradia was his matesprit. He loved her. The only reason he'd left her alone as she dabbled with Fear was because she was actually successfully keeping Fear occupied. Unfortunately, that had been a mistake... not that it mattered that much anymore. Well, so to speak. Of course it mattered to Eridan. It would always matter to Eridan. All the same... his quadrants were like holes. Literally.

Judge Fear wrote:"Alright, let the fireworks fly."

"huh" He turned around to see nothing more than a large BOOOOOOM!. As the fish troll watched the explosion helplessly, he could make out the faint scream of a girl in it. His mouth agape, he... knew this was coming. He didn't want it to be from that guy! No, if she was gonna die, he definitely didn't want it to be from Judge Fear. He would rather kill her himself. He already hated this walking abomination, but his hatred only seemed to escalate with every passing second.

Before he could run over and even react, Eridan heard the Witch and felt its movements; looking up, all he could see was a rain of crystallised blood falling. It looked like regular blood to him at first, but when it started hitting him, he realised it wasn't that simple; it was more than just that. It was... painful. Being a storm, there was nothing to be done; with a few grunts and pained noises, Eridan attempted to brush it off like it was nothing. He instead kept his eyes to where he'd seen the explosion.

Aradia... all he could see was her body as a brutal mess. As Eridan felt his heart drop, he listened. He just... listened.

Aradia Megido wrote:"its been a pleasure but please d0nt mind me c0ntinue if y0u will"

He didn't respond. He only watched, his brow furrowing and his mouth curling. He glared at Aradia. Not a glare of anger intended for her, however; a glare intended for someone else entirely.

Aradia Megido wrote:"at least we were t0gether and we will be again s0rry f0r being such a dumbass ill see y0u"

Still not speaking, Eridan watched her body slowly dissolve, but as it did so... he turned away. He didn't need to see any more. He'd seen more than enough.

    Judge Fear wrote:
    "They have been judged!"

The fish troll turned and faced Judge Fear, ignoring the Witch entirely. He knew. "i fuckin kneww" He started, his mouth curled into a snarl. "i kneww wwe shouldvve killed you wwhen wwe had the chance" The troll turned and walked away from Fear, and... picked up his cape. With a spin, he re-attached his purple cape to his back. He was once again facing Judge Fear at this point, the background obscured by a raging giant possessed by a being they knew naught about.

At this point, everything said became fuel. Fuel for not sadness, not anger, not despair... but misery.

Judge Fear wrote:"Did you see her smile, boy?"

Not responding, Eridan felt himself slip. He had seen her smile. It was not a happy smile, however. It was a smile that brought loss, a smile that led him to feel no positive emotion. Smiles were contagious, right? Not this time. This time, it was far from.

Judge Fear wrote:"Did you see the way your friend's blood flowed from her mangled, burnt corpse?"

He'd seen that too. "shut up" He growled. Unhappy, the last thing Eridan needed was pushes from Fear. He needed time... he needed Aradia. Last time his matesprit had died during an event like this, he'd never seen her again. He was scared right now. He'd spent months recovering. And the one that had helped him recover... was Aradia Megido. Was he really going to be the end of her like this? No... he couldn't believe that. But, at the same time... it wasn't an impossibility.

Judge Fear wrote:"She died right here, you know..."

He'd moved. Eridan's eyes again moved to Fear. He was stood upon the spot where Aradia had gone... her blood was still fresh in the soil. He was standing above this, taunting Eridan. The worst part was that he knew the effect this would have. Eridan's spirit began to drop as Fear talked.

Judge Fear wrote:"In fact, it's still very much warm. Why don't you come here, boy, and take comfort in the fact that you had failed to protect her?"

"SHUT UP" Why... why couldn't he deny this? Eridan couldn't deny anything Fear had said. He'd let her die... he'd done it again. He couldn't protect Feferi. He couldn't protect Terezi. Of course he couldn't protect Aradia. He couldn't protect anyone. His quadrant was the black hole. Anyone who dared enter it was pulled through screaming; the fact remained that they always died. He killed Feferi himself. Though he didn't know it, Vriska had died not long after he would have, but she lasted longer than he did; his black quadrant was evidently the safer quadrant. Go figure.

Judge Fear wrote:"Killing your pathetic little group from within had been laughably easy,"

Raising his head, Eridan looked at the Judge. Huh...

Judge Fear wrote:"Let me count for you the ways I brought suffering upon you all."

Judge Fear wrote:"I was the one who instigated your feelings of paranoia, malaise, and anxiety...
    And I..."

It was you... it was you! The pieces all fell into place. This monster hadn't just grown. Of course it hadn't. It was Fear... it was HIM that had caused this! He was the cause of all of the death outside of Mar that had happened today! He was the one... the root cause...! Eridan had failed to protect Aradia, sure... but at the root base, this was all the fault of Judge Fear. He gritted his teeth once more... he couldn't believe what he was hearing. And the worst part was that he had a feeling he knew what was next...

Judge Fear wrote:"And I... was the one to have damaged your friend to the point where she would die before YOU!"

Eridan's body flickered white for a split second. The gateway to the past... it was being slightly opened from multiple directions. The rage he'd felt... it was trickling in.

Judge Fear wrote:"You will die, as has been ordained in death, and I will have the sole satisfaction in watching the life drain from your apathetic, selfish eyes. But first I would like to impart upon you a memento..."

Judge Fear wrote:"For your arrogance in life and your inability to pursue a wholesome existence accordingly, I hereby sentence you to relive a nightmare unending!"

Eridan didn't care that he was going to die. Death wasn't what he was afraid of. Not that he didn't deserve it a hundred times over by this point, but all the same... he felt the emotions plague him. His head was a battlefield at this point. Clutching it, he stumbled backwards, the fish troll unable to keep himself together for much longer. He cried out loudly, his voice pained as he was forced to relive Aradia's death again and again. "no" He weakly attempted to prevent the onslaught. "NOOOOOO" He nearly fell, but kept it together enough in his legs to prevent it. He had failed Aradia. He'd failed her. He'd let her die. If he'd have been there... if he'd have been there to stop her... she might still be alive now. And at what cost? Him? Wasn't it about time he died instead of the people he loved? Wasn't it time he had to make the so-called ultimate sacrifice, instead of those around him? How selfish... Eridan Ampora. He was a sinner. He knew he was a sinner, and he embraced that. He'd done enough... he'd done more than enough! But, what was this... there was something else...

Judge Fear wrote:I took delight in being a part of her death,

Judge Fear wrote:It is unfortunate that her pretty little corpse did not linger for very long... Her bloodied smile is something I will cherish always.

Eridan's eyes widened, showing every inch of his yellow eyes. Breathing heavily, the moment that his mindlink was cut, he fell to one knee, panting. He'd... lost?! Before this had even begun... Fear had won? No... that couldn't be the case... could it?! Eridan wasn't one to just give up... you'd have to cleave him in half to get him to stop! He couldn't... he felt the floodgates to the past opening once more. Maid of Time, huh... her powers didn't affect him, but it sure felt like they had some effect. He felt it all flowing in... Feferi... Sollux... Kanaya... and then there was Terezi... and now, finally... Aradia. He'd killed Feferi. He'd killed Kanaya. He'd injured Sollux. He'd watched Terezi get killed. He'd now seen Aradia suffer the same fate. It was too much... his rage at Sollux. His rage at Feferi. His passing rage and sorrow after he destroyed the Matriorb and then killed Kanaya. His rage at Saix after Saix had bludgeoned Terezi. It all flooded back, and now, to add... Fear had killed Aradia. Not directly, but she'd still be around... so in that sense... Fear had murdered his matesprit.

Eridan felt the sting of the mantraps, biting into his flesh as if it were nothing... they shredded him, shredded his conscience... shredded his hope. They knocked him onto his front, himself shooting backward. However... he didn't disappear. He didn't fade into code. He flickered white once more. He stood up, his body slowly flickering white again and again. Look into his eyes... he was broken. The past added up to push the present down with him.

    "its hopeless" He muttered.

Judge Fear wrote:"Did you see her smile, boy?"

    Yes...

Judge Fear wrote:"Did you see her smile?"

"i knoww wwhere my limit ends" Eridan was the Prince of Hope. "its all hopeless" Accepting reality? Wait... were those tendrils? Tendrils of white energy were flailing, not hitting anything as Eridan rose into the air, but then they weren't really all that bad... right?

Doc Scratch wrote:"What would you say if I said a vengeful boy on a path of nihilism was taken under the wings of fearsome angels, and learned to destroy hope with their light?"

Oh, sweet Cherubs... Eridan was ready. Now pulsating and emitting a field of white light, he'd hit the lowest he could go; albeit a bit too late. It was hopeless... his red quadrant was hopeless... everything was hopeless...

"die" Was the only word that came from his mouth. Were you dead? Yes. He didn't, however, care. Wand in hand, the only symbols that kept appearing and disappearing around him could be made out to say one thing: e=mc². "die die die die die DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE" Eridan repeated, his voice starting as a whisper and slowly moving up to a scream as a tendril of light followed his wand as he pointed with it, the tendril flying straight for Judge Fear's chest.

"its all just hopeless so just die"

He couldn't kill you, either way... but you couldn't kill him. They would both be ended by the Witch... so he'd leave you a memento of his own... which included another gaping hole.

It was all he had left to give.

    Well then.

Now this was an odd turn of events, wasn't it? At first, Rao had accepted the fact that she would be killed, for it was inevitable, you see, it was their fault for screwing up and having to deal with this monstrosity. Then she became impatient, irritated, waiting and watching, and having to be dragged along on a string to wait for death, merely so she could leave. And now that the troll female was dead, the Dark Judge spoke loudly and revealed a lot of things were his doing. Now, was this true, or was it merely to bother the young lad that was with Aradia? Considering the dark and twisted nature of the Judge, most likely it was true. How irritating!

"If you had joined only to kill us eventually, that is quite unacceptable. Even I, one who doesn't enjoy the company of others, came here to 'assist' as much as possible," Rao finally spoke up so all could hear her. Really now, she could've just stayed at home! Let everyone die! But instead, she took her time to come around and 'help'. "And then you ask my to assist in killing my own teammates, just to hurry this along? I was inclined to agree, given the situation, but now I'm a little angry." Ever so calmly, she arose from where she sat for the longest time and glared at the Judge, hands upon her hips.

She knew she was weak compared to the Judge. This she had no doubt. But damn it, she was mad. "I will 'help' and attack our teammates, then." Her eyes narrowed as she gripped her sword and FINALLY attacked, but not the monster that was resurrected, no! Of course not. She was helping by attacking, finishing off the Judge. Whether he died or not, she did not care.

She just wanted to die alone.

Well then. He'd just stopped paying attention for a few moments, and not only had the dark one managed to kill off Aradia, he'd gone into monologue mode. And quite the impressive monologue it was, up to this point. Not only had those two things happened, Eridan had gone after the dark one with some semblance of insanity, which probably meant the judge won anyways, and finally the priestess had joined in the fun against the undead creature. All the while, the beast raged in the background, such that Joshua was flat upon his white, energy laced back while the majority of what went on, went on. He did manage to get to his feet, mainly depleted on energy rather than hope, no matter what the Dark One was on about.

And then, from his feet, into the air. He left the ground in some vague approximation of the grace he'd exibited earlier, sort of half and half on what he'd like to do next. The bloody spears that passed through the space he occupied hurried that decision along considerably as he ran even lower on energy, and he used what felt like the last of it to lift and hurl a succession of chunks of masonry at the sadly broken Eridan, who needed a break, and to fly up higher, nearer the monster that would inevitably finish him off if no one else managed the ranged attack required. "Sorry troll, you need a rest more than anyone else does right now."
