    New Store Times

Dressed in a pair of black shorts and a vibrant pink button up shirt, Kev made his way down the sidewalk with a brisk skip to his step. Sandals clapped against the cement as he went, and both hands were full with something held tightly in his fingers. In one hand was a set of keys, the store key out and ready to unlock the door. The other hand held a piece of paper as firmly so that the wind wouldn't blow it away yet gentle enough to avoid creating wrinkles. Today would be a day where he made perhaps the biggest change to the store he wound up inheriting. As he approached it, the alien couldn't help but to reminisce a bit.

Five years ago, he'd come in to apply for a job. Kev had been searching for a respectable way to make money, and working in this store with two of his best friends seemed like a great idea! True, he was hardly a music connoisseur, but he was willing to try his best and help out. Eventually they had been joined by Minerva, and having one more person seemed only to be a huge plus! However, as the years went by, Zippy and Minerva had disappeared. By now, even Skyler had left, leaving Kev as the oldest employee for the City Noise. Before the cyborg had vanished, they hired a couple more people to help out, and received Xavier, Shiro, and Nyreena as their new employees. For the brief time that they had five workers in total, things were very good. Of those three that had been hired, only Nyreena remained now. Fear had been unofficially hired at some point as well, eager to lend an undead hand and Kev was very grateful to still have the both of them here.

However... Ever since Kev's cyborg best friend had disappeared, he couldn't help but to feel a little overwhelmed with the store. For so long, the two of them had been the co-owners, each covering a part of the responsibilities to keep the shop running. The former Judge had stepped up to help Kev with all of those things now, but with such a distinct figure of his life gone, the scaly man found himself...wanting to work less. Livewire had been devastated by the loss, and the talent showcase had been great, though it had also reminded Kev of how many people he still had here. All the people he had not seen for a while or hadn't visited for a bit. He wanted to branch out, and visit the people who meant most to him who he had not seen or spent time with for a while. And so, again with help from Fear, Kev had come up with an idea that would free up time to spend with those who mattered most, starting with those who lived in his very house. Slapping the paper onto the glass window of the door, Kev hummed quietly to himself as he unlocked the front door and stepped inside to begin his shift. Times, they were a-changing. And hopefully none of the customers would riot over it.

Starting in July, the City Noise will be open during the weekends only, until further notice. The store will still be open at 10, and will close at 6. We apologize for any inconveniences and hope that you will continue to be a loyal customer! Please understand that with only three people, all of whom have busy lives and schedules, this schedule will be easier and less stressful for us.

    With love,
