As Link was asking Impa about the map she had found, and as Ciela began to ponder just what her fellow fairies' reactions might be, a certain Spirit of Power might have bristled a bit involuntarily for some unknown reason. Had the Spirit of Courage been talking about him instead of just thinking, he might have sneezed... but not knowing any of this and only what his instincts were telling him of course, about something, SOMETHING maybe being up, Leaf simply hummed a bit and brushed it off.

As it was, the and Neri were flitting about in Impa and Sheik's room on the other side of the loft from the two princesses, working on helping cleaning and dusting a bit whilst the two Hylian girls were taking care of the books. It was cleaning, but the brave Leaf was still able to turn it into as much of an adventure on his an as he could… especially since Ciela wasn’t there to take in all of his fun.

Sheik chuckled softly at the wink from the older girl, soon nodding in response to her kind praise. “Thank you, Tetra… I’m honored that you think I have. I’ve worked hard at it, and your own teachings have certainly helped out with that.” Impa had been the first to help teach the disguised princess more about reading and making maps, and whilst the Sage of Shadow was still her primary instructor, when sea charts were involved, as well as more zoomed in detailed maps, Tetra’s extensive knowledge and experience had been something that had helped not only her ancestor, but the Hyrulean family as a whole. Even their guardian.

Impa herself had been pleased to further boost her own map skills, and Sheik had been all too happy to see the way that Tetra and Impa had shared this course of study together. On her own end, it had been yet another way to bond with the pirate captain, and to hear that she’d improved in Tetra’s eyes? Sheik held that praise very dear.

“Of course I think that! You HAVE worked hard! You’re on my crew after all, so I’d expect nothing less!” The pirate captain’s words were as playful as they were true, and that sentiment rang very deep, even deeper than the seas that she herself was proud to sail. Regardless of anything that the two girls had learned from Impa or even the two Links, they had certainly been able to teach each other plenty of things, and Tetra had absolutely loved the information trade. For one, it had been great to learn more, magic and otherwise. And secondly, it had helped further her bond with the younger girl.

Touching moment and playful playing off aside, Tetra soon waved a bit, snagged some more books, and plopped the new stack she had created in Sheik’s hands. “Right! These are next!”

It did not take Epona too long to finish up her nice batch of carrots from Link, and as she happily leaned her head into Link’s face and neck, the boy laughed softly, moving to gently stroke the side of her had and mane. “You’re welcome, Epona.” Smiling even more broadly, the Hero of Time in turn gave his stead a hug around her neck, holding it for several seconds before pulling back and nodding to her.

“I’m going to head on up now, but I’ll be back later! You get some good rest!” And considering the good run she had taken with him that morning? She deserved it and then some!

Link soon moved to dust off his hands (before he could get to a sink to properly wash them, of course…he did try to do that when he could) and head upstairs, his own gut feeling about something possibly being up only getting stronger. Hopefully, whatever it was, it was something good!

As Link and Ciela continued to take in both the sight of this new map as well as what it meant for their family, Impa could not help but broaden her steady smile a bit. When the Hero of Winds vocalized his next question, the Sage of Shadow slowly and carefully unraveled the chart, showing a distinct sea chart format. It was not exact of the Great Sea, but some of the points almost seemed to match up, almost as though some of them had been caught in an overlay with the Analog Sea.

“It is most definitely a map of some sort… however, given these markings here, and the fact that the destination is not a simple X marking a spot, I’m inclined to believe that this is more of a map to a location instead of an item. This lines up with your own sea charts, does it not?”

As though Link’s excitement and intrigue could not be boosted any further, somehow, as Impa moved to open up and unfurl the chart, the Hero of Winds, both of them found their current states jumping. Jumping exponentially, even. THIS WAS DEFINITELY A MAP. AND A TYPE OF SEA CHART! It was not like many that boy had seen, namely in the fact that he was not quite as familiar with the Analog Sea as he was the Great Sea or even the World of the Ocean King, but he knew this format well.

“AAH!!” That was all Link could exclaim when he saw the map even more from his own starry eyes, and at Impa’s question about it lining up. It certainly did line up! It wasn’t the seas he knew best, but the layout was unmistakeable!

There was something oddly familiar about it aside from its layout, though… something that Link could not quite put his finger on, but he chalked it up to instinct and something that would be made clear to him in due time.

As for Ciela, she was very interested to see just how familiar this map looked as well… shoot, given their seaworthy pair in the family, they could navigate this thing with ease.

Sheik’s smile shifted into a full on grin, one that she hope showed just how happy her descendant’s praise made her feel, but also one that didn’t show too much of the inner pride that she was feeling… but at least a decent bit of it. Good compliments were not something that either girl handed out lightly, the pirate captain in particular, but they were always sincere in everything that they said. More than that, both of the girls always strove to improve themselves in a variety of ways, and the two of them being able to help each other in that had been nothing short of fantastic.

As Tetra helped wave off the moment and moved to snag the next books to deposit the stack in her hands, Sheik let out a quick hum and gave a strong nod. “Got it! I’ll start shelving them.” Now that they were organized by Tetra, it was even easier to situate them on their proper shelf!

Whilst Tetra did try to stick to something of a tough love and brutal honesty approach many times, she did still dole out praise and good words where merited. Granted, it was much easier with the friends that had become her crew that had in turn become her family here than it just was with some of her pirates, but she was still able to keep her full sincerity in the face of this different dynamic. Having known Link for a long time now certainly helped, and being able to forge new yet already familiar connections had been even more excellent.

This was just yet another moment of that, and inwardly, the pirate captain was pretty darn happy about it.

Nodding to Sheik as she started to put up the new books, Tetra’s eyes flicked to the shelf to make sure that they were in fact being set properly. She had now doubt they would, but they were in this task together, after all.

As the younger Link made his way upstairs from the basement, he bypassed the office first so that he could get to a washroom to better wash his hands after having worked with Epona for a while. Back in Hyrule, he would not have cared quite as much, but that was a different world. Not to mention, given his post at the inn here, it was good to go ahead and keep up with good hygiene practices to stay clean and healthy. In his homeworld, the Hero of Time had preferred to at least rinse his hands off after working with some things wherever possible, but for so many, he was content to just keep working and adventuring regardless. That mileage varied with different things he might have gotten into though… such as… certain monster parts… and the like…

In any event, he soon had his hands squeaky clean, and now he was set to run to the office to catch up with his older nametwin to see if he had missed anything.
