    Venthizonxa (Original Character)

Post by Venthizonxa on Thu Dec 22, 2016 4:14 pm

    --PROFILE--

Name: Venthizonxa the Glitch (Ven for short or Glitchy for a nickname)

    Age: 19 years old

Species: She was once a regular human until a something horrible happened that put her in a Codian body. Codian robots are very highly advanced "organic" robots that are native to an invisible, floating island in Mesosphere, one of the highest levels of the earth, which is actually an uncharted country named Codinity. They function like humans in some ways such as eating human food and being fine with water. Swallowing a piece of gum, or something very sticky enough to damage their 'digestive system', or getting their 'brain' damaged in any way can certainly kill them though. Those robots vary in forms, but the vast majority of the species is humanoid with television-like objects for heads. The blood color is always black, less likely if that Codian being is a non-robot. Both species live for eternity, that is if not killed. However, Ven is not actually a Codian. She's technically a glitchy ghost trapped in a Codian body.

Appearance: Ven is a white-based humanoid with a very slim body and an unusual-looking gold-and-black television, one that has oddly long golden wavy antennas and static screen with a slightly cartoon-y face, for a head and she has dark red eyes with brighter red irises and runny black ink leaking from her eyes (only when enraged or upset) and she have rather long lashes. She rarely shows her true eye color, which is piercing green-grayish, in the public. Since her blood is black like a regular Codian's, whenever she blushes, her cheeks would be gray-ish. She has no nose and her 'ears' look like flat, golden trapezoidal cylinders. Her daily clothing almost always consists of a mix of futuristic Korean and American styles and the usual colors are black, gold, and red. She likes to wear a lot of gold and red jewelries. Tends to wear unusually long black-and-gold boots.

Background: Michaela Isis Swain was born profoundly deaf, as a human, in Fairfax County, Virginia to a pair of sweet-hearted, open-minded couple who were then killed by a couple of Azorthian minions when she was only an infant, effectively orphaning her as well. But that wasn't going to be that much longer before an Azorthian rebel, named Pax, took her in and treated her as if she was his daughter. But as the child grew up, the poor rebel was terrified of ever letting her step a foot outside of his worn-out house. Pax taught Michaela how to use American Sign Language and many, many other stuff. But there were some things he chose not to tell her about. Some things that would've put both of them in deep danger. On Michaela's eighteenth birthday, Pax, for the first time ever, decided to celebrate her birthday by getting out of the house and wander the surface. Even though it was a huge risk for the both of them, Michaela seemed to be making some new native friends. Pax was extremely happy that he raised the child right and that she just befriended at least a couple of people her age. There was even a small party for her. Michaela had a very close native friend named Gabrizal, who is also an Azorthian rebel. The life was going well for her even though she lived in that very dangerous place.

However, the happiness didn't last long that night. In a meanwhile, Pax opened the door to check in only to see that Michaela was laying there, facing down, on the bed and her hand, holding something, touching the floor as if she was merely sleeping, there was this sizzling sound. When her shocked, heartbroken fatherly figure took a closer look, he noticed that Michaela had a cable of a vintage television in her badly burned hand. Michaela was dead, all because of a freak accident, and that crushed Pax emotionally. But, as soon as Pax was about to break down into tears, one thing that caught his eyes was that the television's screen was still going static... Even though it was already unplugged. Thanks to that, Pax knew right away that there was a chance to revive Michaela but he had to do something that required him to pay a very steep price.

Several days later, Michaela woke up with most of her important memories missing. She didn't even know what happened on that day that got her killed. She soon realized that she wasn't home anymore. She was laying on a luxurious bed in an oddly-designed yet expensive-looking room, like it was some kind of a futuristic steampunk-styled room. She then got up, feeling rather offish and unusual, as if she was in someone else's body. She went to the bathroom to look into the mirror. Yup. She was in someone else's body. But it wasn't a human body... It was a Codian body. Pretty soon, a small single-wheeled robot went rolling in the room and gave Michaela a drink and was about to leave. She tried to yell out to him but nothing came out. The robot turned around as if it read her mind and rolled toward her again, it then told her telepathically, "Venthizonxa Swain, when you are ready, please report to the headmistress's office. It's located  in the opposite direction of you. Have a nice day and hope you like it here!" Then it left without giving her a chance to say something. It was so sudden, but the woman decided to do what the adorable little robot said and went to where the said office was.

She took a moment to take in the amazing sight of the hallway, which was decorated with very realistic, futuristic digital paintings of a robotic family. Venthizonxa, since she had no memory of her own first and middle name at all, snapped out of her thoughts when she got a telepathic message from the office. She was surprised by that but then she just entered the office as told. There was a masculine woman in a futuristic steampunk-themed outfit, standing behind the desk and in front of a very large computer screen. She then turned around to look at the utterly confused woman, she said with telepathy, "Welcome to Key Manor, Venthizonxa Swain. My name is Zerome Gear Key. I hope you like it here and perhaps us." She then smiled sweetly, her red eyepiece glowing a little.

Personality: Ven is more of an introvert than extrovert, so she isn't as outgoing as she wanted to be. Sure, she likes to make new friends but at the same time, she's pretty uncomfortable with almost everyone at first thanks to her self-consciousness and trust issues. Yes, she's hilarious and friendly at most times, even helping other beings as much as she could is one of her favorite thing to do, but that's usually her 'mask'. She would rather hide in her bedroom and keep herself busy being on her own laptop, surfing the Internet and talking to total strangers, oddly enough she feels much safer whenever she does that. She is rather very skittish around people who have higher powers than her such as the police. The glitch gets easily overwhelmed by little things sometimes. She also breaks down into tears whenever she thinks too much about her own mistakes from the past; she used to be a bully even to those she saw as 'friends'. That's one thing makes her turn very upset and angry, especially if she sees someone picking on other beings, she would be likely to try and confront them but it often ends badly; she tends to attack that bully first and ends up getting hurt.  But on the positive side, she's very helpful and friendly around those who respect her; she would even try to help a child out with tying their shoes if needed. She's good at making new friends even if they don't have much of things in common. Ven tends to feel soft-hearted for those less fortunate people, such as children getting hungry, people having cancer, and more and she is more than willing to try and give something to them if possible. Her kindness helps her with her self-consciousness but that only works for her little by little and it takes time. She loves to laugh a lot and tell amusing stories about good times in her past, merely trying to see the good side of her own life.Once you get to know her and she feels comfortable with you, she would be pretty much herself.

    Strengths:

    • She can control most electronic/electric things by entering them and doing things; for instance, if you're having a bug in your computer, ask her help and she will, most likely, be willing to enter your computer as a 16-bit character to fight off the bug (Think of it as a 16-bit computer game that plays by itself.), but be sure to let her eat some of your old, unused data in order to be healthy.
    • One of her favorite glitching abilities is walking through walls like other ghosts. Through she's having some issues with that ability, especially when she's trying to get through a very, very thick wall as it would consume a lot of data she 'eats'. She would get stuck in there for a bit before being able to do it again.
    • She tends to float around like other ghosts, even in her body. However, she can't fly around freely like a bird or go higher than five feet from the ground.
    • She can also teleport. But there's a limit to that ability; for instance, if she's being pushed off an edge, she will fall but when she is close to landing, she will teleport and reappear standing on the ground, safe and sound.
    • One thing she isn't proud of is having an ability that allows her to make things glitch on contact; for instance, what Ven did to that Azorthian minion in the presentation section is something that still remains with her.
    • She is also very good at acting; for instance, she can pretend that everything is fine but when that moment hits her the hardest, she will let it out in privacy or to people she trusts.
    • Being an art expert, art is her favorite hobby. She loves to draw, sew, write, and do some other artistic hobbies.

    Weaknesses:

    • If she seems to be flickering when virus monsters are close enough (Such as malware but in various monster-like forms), that means she has been attacked. This would probably affect her 'health'. But if she seems to disappear when virus monsters are close enough, that means she's dead. Every time she uses her power with too little data to 'eat', her head aches and sometimes it would make her feel kinda weak and light-headed. If she uses too much of her power with no data to 'eat', she would fall in a coma for several hours to a week.
    • Since she's in a Codian body, a piece of gum can kill her, too, forcing her to move to a different body.
    • Like ours, her 'brain' is pretty important, but unlike ours, it is the only thing that keeps her alive. So, if it is, in any way, seriously damaged, she dies and she would have to find a new body to possess as well.
    • Even though Codian robots can eat human food, Ven can't do that since almost every food makes her very nauseous and sick.
    • She deeply fears religious beings for some reasons as it has something to do with her worst nightmare ever. She just doesn't talk about it much because she doesn't want to offend anyone by mistake and she usually keeps it to herself, if possible.
    • She couldn't stand talking about her own past, but she will if she isn't such an emotional wreck at that moment.
    • Whenever she gets very emotional, she overloads and glitches out, it can be a bit difficult for her to calm down.

World: Ven's world is much like this one except the popularity of humans is cut into one-tenth of this world. The world is sorta post-apocalyptic to the humanity thanks to the battle caused by the majority of the malicious Azorthian race. Most of robots, whose origin is still a mystery, live on a peaceful, moving country-island in the sky, which is called Codinity, and some live in an eerie, wicked underground empire with very little to no experiences with being under the sunlight under the majority of England, which is called Azora. Another big difference from this world is that there is very little to no such thing as 'true' governments all over the world, that means most beings living on the earth would get in a lot of trouble very often with looters, gangs, and other wicked beings that may harm them.

    Other:

    • When Ven was a human, she was profoundly deaf so that means if she wants or has to talk without giving people hard time to understand her and using telepathy, she would have to use her phone or a notepad and a pen.
    • Her face is actually a screen that flickers wildly when angered or upset. Her black 'tears' would disappear with a soft flicker or two when she calms down.
    • She has a serious case of depression and mood swings, but she's not showing that as much as she used to.

    Group(s): Robots, Immortals, Unknowns

    --PRESENTATION--

Running as fast as she could to get away from a couple of minions, whose new, malicious ruler was Jaze the archenemy of Zero, and trying to find a place to escape them, Ven was very scared and clueless of what may have happened to her if they caught her. Though she heard, according the Key family, that Azora was the place where gruesome tortures and deaths happened to many, many innocent Codians and even other non-Azorthian beings. However... She found a nearby waterfall and went there, going under the large rock and behind the falling water, not daring to say anything, make any tiny noise, or even move. She noticed a tall Azorthian female checking her phone, which is also designed to find a certain being, and before finally giving up on it out of frustration and she cocked her futuristic gun as she left the area looking for Ven. She begun to wonder if that ruler was responsible for her separation from her old family and friends since she still remembered what her family looked like and who some of her old, close friends were. Oh, Werecat... Her new best friend since high school! What if she was in grave danger just like Ven? That dreadful thought sent a chill up her spine but she wasn't about to stand there and do nothing while that happened, so she waited a bit for the area to be cleared out before running out to look for Werecat.

The Azorthian female finally caught her sneaking into the library in a major city that was already claimed by Jaze, and was about to shock the poor woman with her taser when Ven touched her shoulder, giving off a very strong shock and frying the minion's brain. The minion fell to the ground and shuddered as her whole body sizzled from the shock then she just stopped moving... She was dead. Of course, she was very confused and shocked by what she just saw. She remembered dreaming about having powers like that when she was a child... Little did she know the dream turned out to be real until that moment she overloaded Zero's television by accident. Yet she didn't know how powerful she could've been. But at the same time she was very angry and scared. She was angry because Zero lied to her about her forgotten past, because Ven then remembered how she died right away. And she was scared because she could've hurt someone she deeply cared about... Werecat. She had to find her before she got hurt by someone else!

Ven kept looking for possible leads to where her high school best friend might've been... What she didn't notice right away was a bright, glowing blue portal opening up right in front of her. She then found something very familiar near where Werecat lived... A half-eaten moon pie. That was one of Werecat's favorite foods. She knew she had to keep looking but when she looked up, she noticed the glowing portal awaiting to be entered. She growled lowly as she thought she knew that Werecat was taken hostage by the Azorthian army behind that portal. She ran into the portal, getting all angry and ready to fight, entering it.

    Hello there, Glitchy!

Welcome to Portal Breach, my name is EEZ. I will be the admin overseeing your application. Firstly, your character is off to a great start! You even filled out the character sheet and gave her a colour code, which are major pluses. However, before I can approve your character and let them onto the Breach, one or two things (but hopefully one) will have to be altered. If possible, I'd like you to separate the character more from the RPer. While we have allowed more persona-type characters in the past, they were not as personal or integrated with their RPers. There was still a fine line between reality and fiction, and we'd like to keep it this way on Portal Breach.

Other than that, your character is fine! If you feel comfortable making the above change, I will be more than happy to once again swing by and take a gander. Sorry for the inconvenience and delay!

    Thank you, EEZ! ^^

Okay! I get it now, it's kind of personal. Even though I didn't commit suicide or get myself in a Codian body or even obtain some freaky powers., I kinda understand the point there...

But I just wanna be clear. What do you want me to make changes to separate the persona more from myself, to be exactly? Like, should I change her personality more or...?

Hey there! Mod Zimbo here, but you already know me. The personality is fine, and her background from the point she finds herself in a Codian body and on is also fine! But the area that does need to be changed is pretty much Venthizonxa's time when she was alive. Certain things you can keep the same as yourself, such as her name and her being deaf, but certain things will need to be changed so that they aren't quite so similar to your own. Assuming that all of Michaela's experience growing up are the same as yours, that is!

I did it, guys! All done!

By the way, the updated background story is actually the original idea I came up with the first week I created the persona! Hope you like it.
