Once they'd stopped moving and the animal began his inspection, Scarlet's heart stopped racing. That...had been the second most terrifying thing she'd ever experienced. It was only after she felt a rough lick from him that her head had perked up from where she was holding on. She seemed to be amused, if nothing else, though a lot of the color had drained from her face from fear of the jumps themselves. "You seem confused." She chuckled, then. It...hadn't actually heard her, had it? Or understand, perhaps. But it didn't particularly seem hostile to having something strange on it's back, either. Cautiously, the knight reached over and softly petted some of his disheveled fur from her climbing onto his back, then peered past him at the scenery.

Surprise flickered on his white furry face as heard a familiar voice coming from the lump of odd fur on his back. Giving it a last decisive lick the Nargacuga stuck his nose into the lump and took a deep breath, filling his lungs of that scent remembering it and in a way imprinting on it.

The scent had already been labeled as a friendly strong party, in his own territory would be like he adopted some thing into a sort of pact. It was an unspoken type of thing that really made no sense, it just worked. Much like how some wild animals took care of humans or creatures of another species, even if they were categorized as prey.

    "You seem confused."

He indeed was. Just when did she hope on to his back and how long has she been clinging on his back like a Kechawacha to a net of vines? His admiration for her bravery only grew, though he thought that she was crazy to have just leaped on to his back and clung there as he clambered around on roof tops and walls. She must have been quite strong and had a good grip on his sword deflecting pelt.

Clearly he was starting to get attached to her, I mean wouldn’t you cling to the first person that made sense, fed, and helped you? Worried that she would fall off, the creature backed away from the ledges and lowered himself to the ground enough to flatten his form a little. He ushered her more to the center of his back where he felt that she would be safer and have a more comfortable position.

In his search for a territory he had seen some humans and creatures like him live together. Mostly they tried to drive him back to where he had fled from, but he evaded them enough to see what they were capable of on monster back. Of course their “pets” wore some type of armour that made it easier for their riders to cling on to them. He wasn’t so sure why these creatures that lived with the humans seemed tinier than the normal size of their respective species. Were they not fed enough to grow, or perhaps the humans did something to them to retain their cute sizes ?

Regardless of what they did to their pets this wild deviant was amused with the idea of having a rider. Even if he didn’t have a the odd seat strapped to his back, Curi thought the female would be fine so as long as she was behind his wide shoulder blades. Essentially, she could cling to his back but with his jumping and flying could cause a wind that may fling her off, so the best solution was to use the muscle of his upper back to block the wind, that and its fur made for great hand holds.

Once he deemed her secure enough he turned his attention to the taller buildings much farther away. With the many leaps he had preformed this incoming one would be the longest. Some how to seemed too far, like they will most likely not make it if he tried. But he did try anyways.

With a running start the beast threw himself into action, his wings spread out catching and using what winds he could find in such a space. Curi expertly navigated the structures in flight and in climbing to get higher. Eventually, he had started panting with the exertion, which was unlike him who should be used to doing this in his own territory. Maybe it was the air? Then again he was quite hungry.

Finally they reached what looked like the apex structure that towered over the other buildings. Curt let himself lay down at its roof, exhausted but well worth it for the sunset that was in view.
