    Doctor Doctor, Gimme the News!

"Wow, it feels like a sauna out here, hon hon~! I hope ya both ditched your winter coats, unlike moi."

Yes siree, it was another beeeeeautiful day on Portal Breach! A cheery sun beamed high in the sky, there wasn't a single cloud in sight for miles in all directions, and the wind barely picked up higher than weak, gentle breeze. It was shorts and tank top weather. It was smiles and shades weather. It was his weather, and you better believe Scaramouche enjoyed every second of it. Can't say the same for his two fluffy companions, though!

Ruby boots - click-a-clack'd! - down the sidewalk and halted at a nearby crosswalk, pivoting on their delicate heels. "How're you two holdin' up back there?" he asked, a wide grin on the robot's metal face. "Does it feel like summer yet~?" His internal thermostat reading of 33°C sure said so! It was almost too irresistible to snicker - what, with Scaramouche dressed in his usual duds and seemingly unaffected by the day's afternoon heat - but the android corralled his impish mannerisms and spared everyone such cruelty. He wouldn't be surprised if Lunette felt hot just by looking at him. Ooh, what a thought~! "Hang in there, we're at the home stretch!" Scaramouche encouraged his darling furballs. Knowing the Anitra, she was probably eager to strip and sprawl her fluffy butt on cool tile. As for Curiosity? Well, that was a regular monster mystery! "The hospital's only one block away, and then ya both can melt into fluffy puddles beneath the technological marvel that is air conditionin', hon hon~! Now c'mon, slowpokes, daylight's a-wastin'~!" Come wintertime, the tables will turn on poor ole Scaramouche. Karma played no favorites, not even for charismatic robots in high heels.

    Their destination? Portal Hospital.

Their target? The one and only Dr. SALLI.

Their mission? To cheer the good doctor up!

Admittedly, Scaramouche had never been to the hospital before. They kinda... wigged him out. Can't pussy out now, though! He hopped over the hospital's driveway curb with boyish glee, excited to meet another robot face-to-face, and paused in front of the entrance's automated doors. "Ooh, fancy~!" Hm, right. These doors weren't very big, were they? Turning to the Nargacuga, Scaramouche was certain Curiosity already knew what came next - he was a smart bugger!

"Alright, Fluffy," he said, "this is where you'll wait, 'kay? You ain't gonna fit past this point, and I doubt the hospital staff's forgotten about your lil', hon hon, dramatic entrance~!" The android then turned to Lunette, wondering what the Anitra will decide next. "Lu, d'ya wanna stay out here with Fluffy or d'ya wanna accompany me inside? If ya stay out here, I'll give ya a text when I locate Dr. SALLI's office and we'll rendezvous there. If not, we'll come out here for Fluffy and then rendezvous at Dr. SALLI's office." The latter was obviously a more round-about way of getting things done, but Scaramouche didn't mind. They pretty much had all the time in the world.

He reached over and gently stroked the Nargacuga's beak. "Here's hopin' it's got a window, eh, big guy?"

Post by Lunette on Wed Jun 20, 2018 3:36 pm

It was a good thing Lunette had a hair cut earlier this month, because otherwise, the feline Anitra would be mewling and whining about the exhausting heat. It was still a nuisance at times, but was mostly combated against when wearing light and airy clothing that allowed her fur to breathe. Such as today, where she wore a floral dress made of breathable fabric and a hat to block the sun's rays from above. Though it was true; looking at Scaramouche wear such a heavy looking coat always made her mentally cringe, especially wearing it during such heat. "It feels like the surface of the sun~" Lunette replied with a playful tone, trying to hide some panting every so often.

Scaramouche and Lunette were accompanied by Curiosity, the fluffy (and spiky) wyvern creature. Poor Fluffy... he would surely need some nice cold water and shade with the sun beating down on his fur like that! The android leading them perked up, stating they were very close to their destination, thankfully. "Thank goodness..." she said, wiping her forehead softly, tongue sticking out a bit. Air conditioning was truly a godsend in these horribly warm summer days!

And thus, the hospital was right in front of them! Admittedly, Lunette had never been to the hospital... not here, nor back home! So looking at it from where she stood, it was truly... bizarre. It reminded her of an apartment complex, except far more sterile probably. The automatic doors would've startled her had she not witnessed them before at the mall, and inside, it was indeed white, clean and smelled lightly of disinfectants.

Her attention soon turned to Scaramouche, who explained his next course of action to her and Curiosity. Stay here and wait for a text, or go along and come back for the wyvern. Looking over to the large beast, Lunette tilted her head a bit in thought before focusing back onto the tall, smirky android. As much as she wanted to be by his side, it would be more convenient and easier on everyone to wait. "Why don't you go on ahead, darling? I'll keep Fluffy company and maybe find some shade to sit beneath." The small black purse by her side was opened as she fiddled around inside, removing her phone to show she had it this time, "if anything comes up, let me know, okay?" Taking a step forward, Lunette urged Scaramouche to bend down just a bit as she gave him a sweet kiss upon his cheek.

    ’Tulsit... ‘

    Huff... Huffffff... Huff...

A certain fluffy pseudowyvern huffed quietly trailing after the lovely couple. His winter coat hasn’t quite started to shed off yet, so the heat was as suffocating as a Najarala’s deadly embrace. His body was still not used to this environment’s seasonal changes as it had only been a few months.

The last season he had seen of his world was when the leaves fell and covered the ground. Curiosity had actually been looking forward to the next season, the one of winter where the blankets of cold white covered everything. Sure his favourite river was going to more than beak chattering cold and all the prey were going to be in hiding, but he got to play with all the snow.

One time he had the great idea to curl up beside a hunter’s tent and stay absolutely still so that the snow covered him throughout the night. By morning he was a large boulder behind the human’s camp. It had taken them a while to notice and remember that there never was a giant snow covered boulder near their camp. Needless to say the curious beast had a great big laugh as well as scared the brains out of some trespassers.

Blinking back into the present, Curiosity gave a big huff as to reply to the grinning overly dressed bot’s question. ‘Yes... What Lu said!’Huff!... Just how could he stand wearing that heavy coat? Curi had just the greatest urge to flap his wings and try to cool them and himself off.

Oh the bane of having such a luscious long coat of fur during such a warm time. Still he felt no regrets as others loved to pet or hide in, that was as close as he was going to get to feeling safe and bit’o love. With his size he should be more in tuned with making others feel protected or hunted. Sometimes he wished that he could go back to being a hatchling and just hide in their articles of clothing.

Tired nightmare red eyes admired the smart bipedal feline’s wiseness. She had gotten her fur trimmed just before the summer had started to try and cook them. Scaramouche really did a great job of keeping her fluffy while preparing her for the summer heat. Perhaps he should follow suit? Hmmm... but how to ask?

‘What’s a home stretch? Is it the same as stretching in one’s nest?’

The beast panted shamelessly as the sun’s rays beat down on his striped back. If he was in such baking heat and still back in his old territory he would have soaked himself in the glacial river. The predator couldn’t be bothered to pay any attention to the prey who look upon him with amusement or pity on their edible faces. As the dark spot with red eyes in the forever cold river he didn’t care for what others thought as he shamelessly cooled off upstream. One never knew if the Slagtoth took a dump in the current, so down stream from the herbies was out of the question.

    ’Wasting daylight?! I’m nocturnal... o don’t get... :( ‘

There were better ways to travel than to walk... His coat was as extra thick then as it was extra thick now and right now he really missed that glacial river and wondered why the Kutku didn’t they just fly there? Perhaps they were scared of heights? Then again the bot looked like he was indeed enjoying himself in this heat, so the beast didn’t make an attempt to suggest it. Even if the summer winds looked cooler and more inviting than the pan-like pavement.

’Is this part of some punishment for laying a claw on his former rider?‘

    Huff... huffffff... huff...

The beast’s gaze dropped to his paws as they neared entrance and memories resurfaced about how he had willed himself up this same path not too long ago. He recalled how much his body has ached and how at any moment his stomach would feel the need to empty its hollow depts. Each step a struggle to push forward and that when or if he was still the beast could feel every ripple of pain. In the end it had been a waste of his strength and will power. That space in his chest still felt odd, if not for the those three it would be completely empty.

The heel clicking bot’s voice calling to him seemed sound so far away, as did his mate. Something about waiting for them here? Lifting his gaze up to them the beast gave a slow nod, almost like he wasn’t quite with them. The usual predatory sharpness and overpowering curiosity that usually burned like living flames seemed reduced to dying embers by this far away look.

    trrrr?...

Suddenly, something a cool and gentle stroked his beakmaw. It was comforting as it was affectionate and like waking up from a dream the beast remembered where he was, who he was with, and what they were about to do. So with a violent shake of his fur the deviant looked around to find that they had finally arrived at this building. The same building he had dragged his pitiful dying carcass into not too long ago.

Odd enough it looked nothing like the state he had left it at. The tiles, walls, and ... essentially everything from the entrance to the waiting room had been trashed by his struggling to find Scarlet. At the mere thought of her name the silverwing’s ears drooped. Curi glared at the corner that he himself had curled up to sleep. He should have seen the signs.. should have known better than to trust a human huntress.

Quietly the deviant followed them closer to the glass doors at the entrance. He had to crawl under the large over hang that was connected to the entrance, but once her got there the door was the first thing he noticed. They opened by themselves if something got close!

Truthfully, the beast had walked right through the glass doors on his first visit. Would you have noticed if you were that big and literally dying to get in? He didn’t even feel their resistance when his beakmaw made it through, but now that he was healthy and clear-minded he saw them as they were. Moved by an unnatural force that one couldn’t see but it saw enough to pull the glass bits wide open for you to enter.

After gawking at the door and fighting the urge to swat it with his spiked tail the nargacuga turned to look at the couple only to find that they were busy. So he busied himself with carefully curling up on his side to make use of the cool breeze that blew out each time the doors opened. Being the nice considerate beast that he is he made sure that there was a comfortable place on his belly for Lune to sit on and enjoy the cool breeze from just outside the structure’s entrance.

’ Is this the air conditionin’ that Scaramouche had been talking about?’

Aw, look at these two furballs... In hindsight, it might've been smarter hitching a ride on Fluffy's monstrous hide since the heat seemed way too much for the both of them. Scaramouche frowned and did the best he could, going so far as removing his paddy hat and fanning his companions with it. Cool, powerful bursts of air washed over their suffocating coats thanks to the android's efforts. Hopefully it was enough to help... "Gadzooks, I'd hate to see ya two durin' August," he muttered. Not gonna lie, though. It was sexy hearing Lunette pant. Fluffy... eh, not so much. Kinda freaked Scaramouche out!

"Why don't you go on ahead, darling? I'll keep Fluffy company and maybe find some shade to sit beneath."

    Sexy and smart~!

The robot nodded with a large grin, placing his paddy hat back on his head, and happily piped up. "Sounds great, Lu~! At least the hospital entrance has a large overhang, huh?" It probably wasn't the best by a mile, but it sure beat hanging around in the sun! He bent at the knees when urged for a delicate kiss on the cheek, his grin softening. Oh look! Lunette had her phone this time - how conveeeenient. "Of course, babe," Scaramouche answered, returning with a loving smooch of his own, right on the Anitra's fluffy forehead. Her eyebrow whiskers were so cute! "If anythin' happens, you'll be the first to know. Promise!" Not that anything would happen (it was Portal Hospital, after all), but it never hurt being prepared. "Oh! And, uh..." Scaramouche's attention shifted to the monster sprawled out on his ginormous fuzzy side. What a cutie-patootie! "I'll ask if they can bring out tons of water for the both of ya," the android added. "In the meantime, ya both just sit tight and try not to attract trouble. Leave that to me~!" Nurse Floyd, this meant you. "Anyway, be right back, babes!"

With a cheeky wink and another kiss on Lunette's furry head, Scaramouche disappeared inside the building and made a direct beeline for the receptionist's desk, if any. Hospitals had receptionists, right? It's not like they had concierge, so...

He sniffed once, idling within the hospital's foyer for a moment as he studied his surroundings. "Hm! Smells kinda... citrus-y," Scaramouche remarked. That wasn't typical, right? These places usually smelled of sterilized air and death. Kind of a nice change! The robot shrugged to himself and meandered his way on over to what he assumed was customer service. Or, y'know, a nurse's station. Either way, a toothy grin spread across Scaramouche's metal face and he proceeded to just ooze charisma. "Hellooooo~!" he called out in sing-song, playfully drumming his fingers on the counter. "Anyone home? I kinda, like, need a lil' assistance, baby~! Got a pair of fluff-o's outside that could use plenty of wa-wa. Dehydration's a killer, y'know!"

Now, time to see just how quickly the hospital staff leaped into action...

((OOC Note: Scaramouche and Nurse Floyd are going to post back-and-forth until they're ready to bring Lunette and Curiosity on back! Please let me know if there's an issue with this.))

At the, ahem, customer service station, Nurse Floyd was seated at the computer. Fingers danced across the keyboard. Such idle busy work allowed his mind to wander. The past couple of months had been...strange. Dr. SALLI had been subtly...strange! It was something that was difficult to tell if you weren't looking. But she had been quieter, more distant. Distantly, he wondered if it was related to that incident with Shai. SALLI had explained what happened, but didn't seem eager to discuss it any further. He thought she'd start feeling better once Shai was on leave, but she was still as distant as ever! What could be happening in that robotic brain of her's?

    "Hellooooo~!"

Speaking of robots... Floyd pushed away from the computer and raised his head to behold an odd robot! Colorful too, with a...black paddy hat of all things! A bright orange scarf and an admittedly snazzy jacket! The man blinked openly, taken aback by Scaramouche's features. God, why was he so damn tall? The large nose made him wonder why SALLI didn't have such a nose, and those teeth... Why were there so many teeth? Most bizarrely of all... "Why the hell do you sound like Sammy Davis Jr.? Oh right, this robot was here for a reason that was medically important.

"You're telling me. We have quite a few dehydration cases once the summer comes." A couple of fluffos, was it? Nearby was a stack of bottled waters, there to hydrate the nurses and anybody who might need some extra help. Floyd made his way over to it, dragging his rolling chair by tiptoeing across the floor. Tippy tippy tippy! "How many waters do you think your fluffy friends will need? Two each, maybe?" He asked, reaching his hands within the plastic casing to grab one. He held it up and gave it a shake, letting Scaramouche see how big it was in case that'd help him decide.

...Oh boy, get a load of this schmuck.

It wasn't everyday Scaramouche was gawked at like some freak show, but when he was... the android pursed his metal lips and dialed his sass to maximum blast. "Oh, I'm sorry... I didn't know soundin' like one of the greats was suddenly weirder than bein' named Floyd. You ain't even pink~!" Here it comes. Here comes Scaramouche landing himself in hot water thanks to that incorrigible motormouth of his. He leaned against the counter, resting on his elbow, and snapped his metal fingers once. Derogatory didn't even begin covering it. "Hey, pal, my optics are up here, thanks~!" the android pointed out with a somewhat insincere grin. No 'babe' for you, Floyd!

Those same, glowing cyan optics trailed after the nurse as he fetched a couple of bottled waters, Scaramouche largely unimpressed. Pfft... like those will make a dent! "Nah, nah, nah~!" he chuckled, fanning a hand. "You're thinkin' too small, Floyd, my man - my milk chocolate brotha' from another motha'. Ya see, I got, like, a really big monster outside? Yeah, I'm pretty sure y'know of him. Goes by the name Fluffy? Devourer of Men? Maker of Widows? Fine Connoisseur of Dark Meat?" Heavy emphasis on 'dark', by the way. The android shifted his weight from one leg to the other, feigning aloofness as he busied himself his fingers and becoming the epitome of obnoxiousness. "Mhm, mhm... Appreciate the sentiment, but those puny bottles just ain't gonna cut it. Ya pickin' up what I'm throwin' down, amigo?" And in case Nurse Floyd was dumber than he looked, Scaramouche was all too happy to educate the man.

"I need a bowl. The biggest bowl ya got~!" he stated cheerily. And yes, with lots of teeth. "And if not a bowl, then a trough. Ya do have one of those at least, right? I mean, what kind of hospital would this be if ya couldn't satisfy the needs of all your patients, big and small? Not a very good one, that's what, hon hon~!" Bottled water would be perfect for Lunette, however, and Scaramouche shamelessly helped himself to the closest one he could grab. "I'll take this one for the Demonic Mistress of Heavenly Suckage, thanks~!"

Bring your A-game, Floyd. You'll need it.

"Pink Floyd, that's original!" Yuk it up, tall robot, he'd heard that one throughout college! The nurse waved a hand in the air dismissively. "Actually, I should be sorry. You actually sound like a white guy pretending to be Sammy Davis Jr. My bad!" What an obnoxious voice! It went perfectly with his obnoxious personality. Everything about him oozed heckling comedian. What was this, a weird hospital inspection? Badger the staff and see how they work under pressure? Or just a rude dude? The world will never know. "Maybe if you weren't 8 feet tall...to look at your optics, I gotta snap my own neck!" Floyd mumbled with a derisive snort.

"Listen up, Jack, you gotta know me for at least a day before you can call me milk chocolate." The nurse pivoted at the hip, arching his brow at the robot as he elaborated. Well...perhaps some people would call it elaboration. To Floyd, it didn't add up to jackshit. Only monster rang any bells. "Oh? Is he a bird and stuff? Striped fluff?" At least he hadn't crashed through the entrance, if this was the same creature. If it was the same one...then yeah. These bottles weren't gonna help at all. Floyd stared at the bottle in his hand before sighing heavily. "Yeah yeah, I'm picking it up, cabrón."

"I need a bowl. The biggest bowl ya got~! And if not a bowl, then a trough. Ya do have one of those at least, right? I mean, what kind of hospital would this be if ya couldn't satisfy the needs of all your patients, big and small? Not a very good one, that's what, hon hon~!"

What a presumptuous dick! Floyd's lips pursed, hand clenching and making the plastic bottle crackle. The nurse's brows furrowed as he shot the robot a seething glare. "Yeah, of course we have a trough! It's right next to the tractor and the pigpen! Every hospital comes with one!" He was sorely tempted to chuck the bottle at Scaramouche, though he pushed it into the robot's direction instead. Mistress of Heavenly Suckage? Ew. He held up an index finger, frown deepening. "One, ew. TMI. Two, we don't really have a trough, but we do have bowls. They're in the cafeteria though so if you'll give me a moment I'll gladly go grab it and get you out of my hair that much quicker!" Begone, robotic flea! Begone and go back to whence you came!

Ooh, talk about spicy. If the good nurse thought to wither Scaramouche with his seething gaze, he better get his eyes checked pronto. "Mm, mm~!" As if just having sampled a fine wine, the android licked his pearly whites and seemed incredibly delighted by Nurse Floyd's chutzpah. In fact, it only served to attract Scaramouche harder. Uh-oh! "Boy..." he chuckled lowly, shaking his head. "Whatever they're payin' ya, it's certainly not enough~! Comedy gold, buddy, comedy gold." Two can play this game, however, and the robot wasn't a fan of holding back his punches. All in good time, all in good time...

"Actually, snappin' human necks ain't so different than snappin' twigs, but that's neither here nor there~!" As much as he'd love a pissing contest, Scaramouche had bigger fish to fry. Namely, getting water to his companions outside! Striped fluff and bird-like was definitely their monstrous friend, which meant the staff shouldn't be caught unawares once they spotted ole Fluffy. "Yep, that's one~!" he laughed, honking up a nasally storm. "He's loungin' right out your front doors, coolin' down beside a bee-YOO-fi-ful cat-lady. Can't miss her~! Also, hair...?" The robot's optics narrowed into thin slivers, amused by Nurse Floyd's unfortunate choice of words. "Well, I dunno if I'd call that pathetic patch of scruff 'hair', but to each their own, Kunta Kinte~!" That was for the 'white guy' crack. "Oh, and, uh... before ya go traipsin' off and makin' your rounds at the workplace water cooler, disappearin' to only God-knows-where, I got one last request for ya. I know, I know~! Generous of me, ain't it?"

This shouldn't be too difficult for a nurse of Floyd's caliber. A simple fetch quest, really. Scaramouche eased himself off the counter and straightened out his jacket, arms folded across his chest in a confident manner. "I need to find Dr. SALLI, A-S-A-P. It's kinda important; meanin' the sooner the better, babe." How hard could that be?

Oh ew! The robot had a tongue to go with those pearly whites! Ugh, the damned thing poked out and lapped at his own lips as if he were about to dine on fried chicken! A shiver crept down his spine, the nurse quickly trying to squash all questions about why that was a thing. "Here's a secret they don't tell you in nursing school: nurses never get paid enough. I'm used to it." He had to admit that it was nice to trade barbs with someone, though! Most people just got huffy or shrugged him off.

Ah. So this heckler was some sort of assassin? Weird, but...well! The hospital wasn't going to turn a guy away just because he had intimate knowledge about how to snap necks. Being a loud tart on the other hand...that was tangling with fate. The lanky robot honked like a Canadian goose in heat! The man actually reached a free hand up and clasped it over an ear, sneering openly at Scaramouche. "Geez. What are you, some sort of weird Frenchy black guy wanna-be? And with that paddy hat...you're even more of a hodge podge of cultures than I am!" Floyd was picking up on haughty French manners, boisterous black guy voice that was somehow also white in nature, a Chinese rice hat, and then there was that nose...! "Right next to a cat lady, got it." Ooh, another point in the Chinese category as the robot's optics narrowed into a squint. "Don't dis my hair! I'd like to see you keep a full head of hair in a hospital!" The hand on his ear slid upwards to cover his scalp self-consciously. "Whatever you say, cracker-bot! But you take out a whip and we're gonna have a baaaaad time."

"I need to find Dr. SALLI, A-S-A-P. It's kinda important; meanin' the sooner the better, babe."

"..." Silently, the nurse looked Scaramouche up and down again as if he had only just seen the robot. Puzzles were clicking into place and it created a terrible heaviness in his chest. He frowned and turned away. Right...of course. That's why SALLI was so distant nowadays. Why she seemed as if she had something on her mind. A male-ish robot, especially one in good health, coming in just to see her? With an ugly sniff, Floyd turned back to the jazzbot with shiny eyes. "You better treat her right! Dr. SALLI works really hard, and if you break her heart I'll turn you into a toaster oven!" How could SALLI fall in love with this...buffoon?! A pinch jealous, the man rubbed away any lingering tears with the brunt of his palm. "She's in her office! Second floor, right next to the robot ward." How do two robots get freaky, anyway? Downloading files?

Scaramouche was in heat, alright. But it wasn't for no goose! Something to melt in his mouth would be juuuuust what the doctor ordered, and Nurse Floyd was looking mighty sweet. What, with the milk chocolate skin and silky-smooth complexion... "Hodge podge, huh?" Such a silly phrase drew the android out of his lewd daydreams, Scaramouche's optics whirring in their motorized sockets. "Hm... well, I suppose ya wouldn't be too far off the mark," he agreed, though hesitant. Alas, it was sadly true. Scaramouche had adopted a whole slew of mish-mashed mannerisms, from cultured urban socialites to bawdy hee-hawing rubes way out in the sticks, meaning he had no real identity of his own. Still! The Earth back home had given him plenty to work with; and for that, Scaramouche was grateful, because he certainly didn't wanna be boring.

"Cracker-bot? Psssh~!" The robot playfully rolled his optics and wore a smug, jovial expression. "And if I had a whip, babe, I'd ask that we take turns. Sharin' is carin', after all~!" Kinky, no? Nothing like a good sting on the ass to start one's day, afternoon, or night. "Anyway, Dr. SALLI? I need to see her, baby. Can ya, like, give her a ring or someth - ?"

"You better treat her right! Dr. SALLI works really hard, and if you break her heart I'll turn you into a toaster oven!"

    Whoa.

Talk about mood whiplash! From snappy insults to ugly sniffles, Nurse Floyd suddenly appeared very... distraught. The change in atmosphere was so jarring that even Scaramouche fell into a grave silence. Like, were those tears? Actual salty, moist tears? The android instantly ducked beneath the counter with a sharp gasp and sloooowly peered over its edge with wide, nervous optics. "W... Why're ya cryin'? A-Are ya hurt? D'ya, like, need me to call a doctor?" he whispered carefully. It took all of Scaramouche's willpower to not head-bob like a startled bird. That was Shai's shtick!

Scaramouche would have to make due with a pack of milk duds, as all Floyd wanted to do was shove the annoying robot out those front doors. Maybe if he grabbed that hat and threw it like a Frisbee? Would the tall robot dive for it? Now that he looked at it under the artificial hospital lighting, it looked metallic. Points deducted for not being accurate to paddy hats! "Knew it. Hmhm! Well, I think it's great to be a big ol' mix." Even if he didn't quite...understand how a robot could have so many cultures thrown into him. Dr. SALLI definitely wasn't like this jeering, honking weirdo.

Ooh, taking turns? Well! That was spicy! The nurse smirked to himself, arms crossing over his chest. "You know, I had a girlfriend that was into whips! I uh...wasn't really into them as much." Floyd absolutely did not run out of that woman's house after she gave him a teasing pap on the behind with her riding crop. Only a pansy would do something like that! Which he absolutely was not! Nope.

Fun and games seemed to come to an end with Floyd's depressing realization however. The water bottle was set on the counter, left alone for a moment as he leaned an elbow next to it. Scaramouche's reaction was surprising, if a little humorous. It even made the heartbroken man snort to himself. Brown eyes stared back at the wide optics that were peering over. How a guy that tall could get so close to the ground, he would never know. "N-no, no! I don't need a doctor! I just...didn't realize you and SALLI were a thing." Though, hey. Maybe toothy and tall were attractive characteristics for a robot? "She's always been so...awkward about that stuff... I didn't realize it was because she was already taken..." Damn lady stealing French black Caucasian robots with snazzy style!

Maybe this was for the best. Maybe now he could focus on dating an organic girl! ...One who didn't mind the long hours Floyd worked. Who had glowing blue eyes and a strong work ethic... Damn it. Glancing back over at Scaramouche, the nurse seemed surprised that he was still there. "Well? Go on! Go kiss her and stuff!" Just get your little butt away from him so Floyd could avoid comparing himself to you.

If by 'Milk Duds' that meant a pair of savory chocolate 'balls', Scaramouche was game. The android truly had no scruples when it came to swing-a-ding-dingin', baby! Something told him that Nurse Floyd wasn't into dudes, though... Or riding crops, apparently! What a crying shame - the nurse was missing out either way. Now then, what's this about macking on Dr. SALLI?

"N-no, no! I don't need a doctor! I just...didn't realize you and SALLI were a thing. She's always been so...awkward about that stuff... I didn't realize it was because she was already taken..."

Yep, time to face the music and nip this one straight in the bud.

"Uh, like, no offense, Nurse Floyd, but..." Scaramouche rose to his freakishly tall height of 8' and peered down at the human, blinking. Ooh boy, how to navigate this minefield? On the one hand: Nurse Floyd acted out because he thought Dr. SALLI was sneaking nooky with another robot. Fair enough; it was an easy, though insensitive, assumption to make. On the other hand: Nurse Floyd had feelings for Dr. SALLI, meaning the guy was a... er, clanker; AKA: robophile. Oof, brought back terrible memories. "I'm... I'm not exactly a 'bot who specializes in, er, 'bot-on-'bot romance, ya dig? My primary functions are comfort, entertainment, and... well, pleasure. For organics. T... That's sorta what I do: I please people. Keyword: people." Ugh... made it sound like Scaramouche was a regular robo-Uncle Tom, disregarding his entire 'race' for that of his flesh-and-blood masters. He winced at the comparison and tried not to give it much thought. "A-Anyway! Um..." The android hastily fanned his hand as if hoping to blow this whole misconception away. "You, uh, don't gotta worry 'bout me and the doc. I'm sure she's a terrific doctor, don't get me wrong, baby~! But, like, I'm happily taken. In fact, my girlfriend's outside. She's the smokin' hot cat-lady I mentioned earlier~! Y'know, the one watchin' Fluffy, our monster friend?"

Wait, this technically meant Lunette was a robophile. A look of discomfort threatened to wipe Scaramouche's grin clean off his metal face. Well fuck, talk about a really unpleasant train of thought, baby! This was a pretty deep rabbit hole... "H-Hm." He clicked his tongue, expression distant, and casually directed a thumb at the hospital's front doors. "I'm, like, gonna goooo..." Scaramouche droned off. "If ya could, y'know, get that large bowl of water outside for our friend, I'd really appreciate it babe, thanks. He's, uh, kinda thirsty, so..." Awkward alert, awkward alert!

He calmly picked up the bottle of water, the servos in his hand emitting soft whines, and looked Nurse Floyd in the eyes one last time. Don't say it, don't say it. Mind your manners, mind your tongue. Don't be that - "...Y'know, I used to think you clankers were utterly reprehensible - real tasteless degenerates - but I guess I shouldn't be so quick to, well, judge." Before the nurse could object or utter a single syllable, Scaramouche deftly plucked a nearby pen out of a branded cup, gave it a click, and scribbled an address onto what was presumably a Portal Hospital business card. "Here," he stated, offering the card to Nurse Floyd. "Hit me up someday, yeah? I know a thing or two 'bout robo-organic relations; might be able to help with your, eh he, lil' problem. Call first, though~! Gotta put away the whips." With a wink and a flamboyant spin on his ruby heels, the android tipped his paddy hat and was soon strutting his swanky stuff through the hospital's automated doors, once again reunited with his companions.

"Whew...!" He loudly exhaled and pretended to wipe globs of sweat off his metal brow. "I stared into the face of God and he stared back, baby! Anyway..." Scaramouche tossed the bottled water between his hands and gave it to Lunette. "Here's some wa-wa for ya, Lu. Sorry for takin' so long; got, uh... distracted." And that was putting it mildly. Optics drifted from one furball to another. "Well aren't you lookin' comfy~? Don't worry, babe - they're bringin' ya water too. I asked for the biggest bowl they got. Here's hopin' it's not a bed pan, huh?"

Nope, he was never gonna explain that one to Fluffy. Not in a million bazillion years.

"Oh yeah! I also found out where Dr. SALLI is - second floor, right next to the..." Scaramouche shuddered. "...robot ward." Ooh, gave him the heebie-jeebies! He shook out his feet and flexed both hands, bidding his anxiety away. "So, how do we wanna do this?" the robot asked, looking between Lunette and Fluffy. "Second floor is quite a ways up, meanin' I don't think Fluffy can simply poke his head through a window. I mean, he could claw his way up there, but I don't think the hospital staff would appreciate that either." He crossed his arms with a petite frown. "I say we request that Dr. SALLI come to us, but I'm afraid that'd be too... demandin', I guess? Like, would that be terribly rude of us? None of us are technically injured, so..." A mild boo-boo could be easily arranged on his behalf, but the robot didn't feel too confident about the suggestion. Not enough to voice it, at least! "What d'ya guys think?"

Beneath a large awning near the entrance covered Lunette and... some of Curiosity. The feline had been sitting on the wyvern's tum-tums, giving gentle circular pets as she brushed the fur from side to side. There wasn't much to do; she couldn't understand Curiosity and she didn't pack her usual bottle of water, wanting to keep her bag light for a trek through the city. "Who's a fluffy good boy~?" she cooed at Curiosity in a sweet tone. Other than giving pets to the large fluffy beast, Lunette mostly looked around elsewhere, curiously tilting her head at the building and inside at times. Having never been inside a hospital, and from what she could see... it didn't look inviting. It just... looked very lifeless... eerie... uncomfortable.

Luckily for her, though, they didn't have to wait too long for Scaramouche to come back around! The tall handsome android handed her a lovely bottle of water, her mitts immediately accepting it and taking a small sip. Ahh...~ Sweet, cold, refreshing nectar of life! Licking her lips, the Anitra purred softly, "thank you, darling~ Just what I needed." And, thankfully, they'd be bringing Curi some water as well! His tummy got another big circular pat! Sliding off of Fluffy, Lunette turned to Scaramouche and noticed his nature when mentioning a robot ward.

    ... Robot ward?
    Robots went to the hospital?

This thought hovered around her brain for a moment before shaking it out, focusing on Scaramouche's concern. To go up there and see her, or bring her down here? Well... if they went up, Curiosity would have to stay down here, and they had come all this way for all of them to see her... Placing a finger to her lip after taking another sip of the cold water, Lunette gave a mighty thunk.

"Well, I think it'd be better if she came down to us! That is, if she's not busy... If she is, we'll have to go to her." Which wasn't fair since Curi had come all this way, but... such is life. "I don't think it'd be demanding so long as she's got free-time and isn't overrun with patients." It was around lunch time, and even though Salli didn't need lunch, surely she had a break time anyway?

Post by Curiosity on Fri Jun 22, 2018 10:41 pm

One would expect that this healing structure could house much bigger creatures? Stupid fireball in the sky...

    Huff........ Huff...

So this great air conditionin’ thinger actually was some help to the overheating nargacuga, as he lay still with his eyes closed to further enjoy its comforts. He was in fluff heaven with this cool breeze and the circular tummy rubbing from the elegant feline who sat on his side. She was much smaller when compared to himself, making her easy to accommodate. The larger fluffball’s panting had notably eased up as the cooling air-..... eh? The breezy air! It it’s gone! Such was a miserable mystery... perhaps not..

Peeling back a furry eyelid, the beast’s slitted nightmare red eye easily spotted the problem. The door had closed and cut off their source of air conditionin’. Was that really how it was called? He’d have to ask Kev later, another question in his ever growing list. For now there was a bigger problem to ponder over. Just how were they not going to melt into a large fluffy puddle before Scaramouche got back? He needed to keep the door open without breaking it like he did the last time he visited.

’So it opens if something tries to enter... maybe?....’

The beast half slithered and half dragged them closer to the door, which in turn automatically opened to treat them again with a passing blast of cooling wind.

    "Who's a fluffy good boy~?"

    ”Prrrrrr~...

’Me~ I’m the fluffy goodest boy~ Me I’m the bestest pud pud!

Pulling himself closer into as much of a giant furry donut as he could in such a tight space and while keeping the smaller furball comfortable. The continuous circular rubbing motion she did on his belly was soothing and a good reminder that he wasn’t alone. That he wasn’t abandoned. He wasn’t an unwitting sacrifice for someone’s amusement. Heavy eyelids closed once more to enjoy the currents.

    Reeee..THump!...

    ”Huff?!...

Once more opening a lazily ruby colored eye, Curi confirmed that the fragile glass door had once more closed. This time instead of moving his entire body the annoyed beast moved his tail closer to the door. He was expecting it to open once more, but as if it wanted to incur the beast’s heated rage the glass stayed closed.

    ”Huff...

Tilting his fluffy head slightly the deviant went ahead and waved his tail threateningly at the fragile walls that block his prize. To his joy the door opened once more, but instead of just enjoying the temporary breeze the beast set his tail in its closing path. His tail would effectively block the door from closing therefore it would keep the pile of living furs happy with its cooling breeze.

The returning familiar sound of steps that click-a-clack'd! there way closer to the pair notified the beast of the sassy ones arrival. Curi turned his head to watch the Android toss a container full of cool clear liquid around before handing it to his mate. How nice~ Scaramouchys back and with wa-wa? Wa-ever that is~

The beast blink curiously, so many odd words and terms throughout this day. The majority of them he didn’t bother to make sense of, instead he let himself just enjoy the way they were said and the current company.

    ’... What’s a bed pan?...’

The deviant tilted his head, the question was quite obviously written on his fuzzy face. He waited a good minute before accepting it that the talkative android wasn’t going to answer it. So he turned to Lunette, but found that she was quite busy with her bottled nectar of life. So with a defeated huff the beastie went back to glaring at the door he was holding open. It was currently fighting to close, but his spike tail was much to heavy for it, so all it could do was bounce off and stay open.

’Hmmm? Androids could get hurt and probably get sick too so then having their own dedicated area for getting them healed up seemed only logical ’

Pondered Curiosity with a curious tilt of his head. Perhaps there was history that neither of them mentioned? Or Scaramouche was just feeling like a Scaredimouche today? Quietly the deviant crawled on his belly to encircle his jittery friend and the smaller furball. He made sure to face towards the glassdoor so that they could collect its breeze as he held it open with his prehensile tail.

’Wait wait... why can’t I- Ohhh... Hmm...’ Most people he had encountered while climbing around town seem to just pause and stare at him oddly. Other than that they never said a word, though some of their hatchling did try their luck at petting him.

It was quite pleasant to know that these innocent are gleefully curious, so the deviant would make the effort and clamber closer to encourage them to be curious. Prrrr...

    ”Prrrrrrrrrrr...”

Again the problem boiled down to his fluffy arse being much too big to enter buildings. Though sticking his head into certain windows seem to still be ok. Of course the intelligent beast would only do this if he knew the person who owned it and they made no complaints about his intrusion

For now it was time to leave the thinking to the smaller bipedals. Perhaps they wouldn’t notice if he scurried off to drink where he knew that there was a hose. The same place that the doctor they were looking for had helped him wash all the gore and stomach content off his fur. Prrr.. Prrrr... Prrrrr....

Post by Dr. SALLI on Sat Jun 23, 2018 12:21 am

Oh no, he was standing again! Floyd preferred the crouching robot to this tall, looming figure. Geez, here it comes. They were gonna thrown down like the old days! Scaramouche was going to take out a glove and smack the nurse upside the head with it! The man had never gotten into a fight over a crush, but he was ready. He eyed the android warily, waiting for it to come. Whenever you were ready, he'd do it! He'd engage in some fisticuffs!

"I'm... I'm not exactly a 'bot who specializes in, er, 'bot-on-'bot romance, ya dig?"

"..." Blinking uselessly at the robot, Floyd's shoulders sagged as the fighting energy drained out of him. So, this tall robot who had business with SALLI...didn't want to date her? In fact, he was into organics? "...Huh." Somehow, that made perfect sense. Comparing this goofy goober to SALLI, there were obvious differences in personality. Learning that the other robot had a girlfriend only made the nurse relieved, sighing audibly as he leaned against the counter. "Whew...so. A cat-lady, huh? Me-wow." The heartbreak from before had faded, replaced with a teasing smirk. For whatever reason, the colorful 'bot became an awkward turtle and seemed eager to escape. Right... Rubbing the back of his neck, Floyd avoided eye contact. He'd jumped the gun and embarrassed himself! Though why did this robot actually want to see her...?

    "Here,"

There was a lot to unpack from the gangly android. From the questionable term 'clankers' that left the nurse unsure whether to be offended or not, to a sudden olive branch in the form of a written address! With a wide-eyed stare, Floyd accepted the card! Briefly glancing over the scribbles, he couldn't hold back a snort. "Unit 69. Fantastic." Fitting, since he admitted to apparently being made for pleasure! However, the robot was quick to steppy-step out on those ruby red heels of his, startling the nurse. "Ah-! T-thanks for the offer! It's pretty nice of you considering we just met and all I've done is talk shit!" What a strange robot. Strange and yet... Somehow likable?

...Oh, right. Water! Floyd slipped the card into the front pocket of his scrub and began to leave the nurse station. But not before he grabbed up his walky talky! If that odd android could do him a good turn, maybe the man could do a good one for him in return? Soft nurse shoes barely made a sound on the hospitals floors as the man made his way down to the cafeteria. Lifting the walky talky up to his mouth, Floyd activated it and licked his lips before talking. "Dr. SALLI? You've got some visitors down here. A cat-lady, that fluffy creature we treated with Scarlet, and a goofy ass robot that's tall as fuck!"

    "Visitors?"

Floyd turned right. "Yep, you heard me! Wanna meet me down here?"

"...I suppose I have some time on my break."

The man smiled as he stepped into the cafeteria entrance. "Alright, thank you kindly!" Slipping the walky talky into his pocket, Floyd had a little jump to his step as he set about finding a big enough bowl for the fluffy beast!

With a large mixing bowl between his hands, nurse Floyd approached the nurse's station and grinned as he spied Dr. SALLI lingering next to it. She gave him a small wave when she noticed him, drawing a slight blush to his cheeks. "H-hey! Mind grabbing like...five of those water bottles behind the counter for me? Aside from wanting to see you, they also need some water." Damn summer heat!

"Of course." It was logical to keep hydrated during these months. Heels clicking lightly, the robotic doctor stepped behind the counter and gathered up the bottles. The nurse came closer and held the bowl towards her, meaning for her to set some of the bottles she couldn't carry inside of it. She seemed to catch onto his idea, placing the plastic bottles inside with a soft slosh. The last two were clasped in her hands carefully. "Is that all we need."

"Yeah, that should be good!" Grinning at his boss, Floyd lead the way towards the entrance, the doctor following without much sound besides the click of her heels. The two stepped through the automatic doors and Floyd immediately let out a whoo as the heat seemed to descend upon him as much! "Damn it's hot!" Thankfully the weird trio were very close by. A bit hard to miss at that! The nurse approached with a grin, bending down to set the bowl on the concrete. As he unscrewed the water bottles and began to fill up the bowl, he appraised the cat-lady. "Mm! You're very...round!" That booty tho...

    "Floyd."

"Pretty! I meant pretty!" He grinned unconvincingly and looked down sheepishly.

"Mhm." Turning her gaze away from the nurse, Dr. SALLI seemed to smile when she took notice of Curiosity. She stepped over and held a hand out for him to sniff and nudge against when he felt comfortable. "Hello Curiosity. You look healthy!" Shifting her optics to the other two individuals, she was visibly confused. "I don't believe we have met? I'm Dr. SALLI. Are either of you in need of a doctor?" The cat-lady was indeed very pretty, soft too. As for the robot, he was...unique. Incredibly tall and dressed in a...colorful manner! So many teeth... Her cyan optics scanned them up and down as if searching for any injuries.
